that new movie Invincable comes out the day before we leave.
I am pretty sure that should be playing on board. I am from Philly, so I am really pysch'ed about that movie.

...let me start by saying thank God we don't live in a society that still has corsets, :woohoo: after I laced this up, my chest was in my nose. ..

Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "heaving bosoms" doesn't it? ;)

I've just updated the cruise website with the time and location of the Meet and Greet. How will we know each other?

website URL: www.graenit.com/cruise06.htm.

OK doing my Pre-pack list. Clothing is going to be tough because we are going for over 2 weeks (park then cruise). My Question: Is it ok to wear same dress for formal and semi-formal night? Anyone else doing this? I want to do what is right/proper/acceptable? ok you can laugh now!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Any input?

mkygrl - Have just splashed on a new dress for formal night, it's long but not quite full length, so have a knee length for semi formal. We're at the parks before the cruise, so we've also got packing issues, but we're trying to pack clothes which can then be binned (extra room for pressies). DD has a long dress & is desperate for evening gloves (LOL), but have had no luck getting them in black, so tomorrow I'll be at the stove with white gloves and fabric dye & hope it doesn't end up grey!
Esteri - we need something easy & not laborious, alternatively a great big badge - "I'm with the DIS"! Otherwise we'll all be there with our laptops looking at the website!

I'll be wearing a lime green visor (found it in the $1 section at Target) and shirt (unless in bathing suit). DD is so excited to meet everyone with the DIS (and so am I).

See you all at the Mickey Pool.

I think the lime green visor sounds great/
I am going over to AC Moore- they had T-shirts there I could make up also.

Hey Guys.....
NASA just released the info on the next space shuttle. It is sched to go up from Cape Caneveral 8/26-9/02
My patient nephew is on the shuttle and they are going for the launch.
I am doing such a happy dance, there is a chance we will be there for the launch... :cool1:

I just did some research, The pilot, Chris Ferguson, is from Philly, actually my old neighborhood. His mother lives in my current town.
THE MOUSE WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN... We will see the launch.

That is very exciting news....My son would be sooo excited if we could see the launch! We are so looking forward to this vacation. The time will pass very quickly now, (just because I have so much to do before we go!) We leave on the 18th (can't wait) for Disney.

Hi doccath! Glad I recognized your posts....And thanks so much for this info regarding the launch.
See you all soon..

I heard on the national news last night that the launch was moved up one day from 8/28 to 8/27 (which is Sunday). If that is the case, we will definitely see the space shuttle on its way to or already at the platform. If I remember correctly from last year- we will have a fantastic view of it from the ship! Last Aug., there wasn't a shuttle there- but my DH pointed out where they launch from- and that would be amazing to see!

well, we can hope that that window is pushed up 1 day.
I just ordered Tshirts today for the trip. Lime green- they cost 4.80 a piece
not bad.

I have seen a shuttle land before but seeing it take off would be awesome! BF was thrilled when I told him this!

We are getting closer!!!!!

Just wanted to say.

Can you all believe it's only 24 more days?! My brain keeps drifting off to that lovely dream that is...vacation.

See you all soon.

Did we ever decide a meet place? On the cruise thread people were saying that the pool (Im not sure which pool) was too hot and humid.

Some were suggesting promenade lounge, or the chairs in front of the walt theater.... any thoughts on that?

Hey everyone! Can't wait until the 26th :cloud9:
My DH, DS (5), DS (3), my mother and father in-law and myself are going. Been trying to read different reports trying to get as much research done beforehand. It looks like I won't be seeing too much of my kids this week. :cool1: Hopefully they will let me come in and take LOTS of pictures!!!!!!!
We have late seating, but are going to try and get early seating. Any suggestions?

I got an email from my travel agent yesterday saying that the cruise docs should be in the email at the end of the week.

Get ready for the Cruise Doc Dance :dancer: party: :dancer: :cool1:  :dance3:

We had our meet last year on Deck 10 above the pool. It was soooo hot that I just said hello to everyone and moved on. The pool will be just as hot. I second the motion for an indoor location!

After a week of 100 plus degree heat, anything inside is great to me. I 'm going to even eat at Parrot Cay as well. Outside dining jockeying for table, won't fly with me.

I agree - I won't eat at the outside buffet - we'll see you at Parrot Cay!

I hope you are ready for another hot week because it isn't that cool in the carribean in August.
