FYI ... I was just checking the DCL site and looked for 2 guests up to a family 5 and as of right now, I see three cat T (1 BR suites) and 8 Cat V (concierge family staterooms) available.

If these hold out, some folks may have opportunity to get a nice upgrade at port.

I also see they are offering guaranteed rooms still.

I hope this means the ship will be not so full.

The last time I asked about a 1 bedroom DCL wanted 17k. Curious what DCL would want at the terminal. Hmm. Thanks for the heads-up Frank.

I just checked, they have 9 available for concierge staterooms (not suites), tried to call to see what the difference would be but they're closed. I did have a question, if you paid Vaca Ins, Ground Trans and Taxes on the 1st stateroom, I wonder if you have to pay again on the upgrade? Vaca Ins looks like it would have to be the difference, since its slightly higher on upgrade... IF I could even swing it, I'm calling tomorrow, doesn't cost to ask

You can do it! I know you want it. If you get a suite, can G have a sleepover with L?

On a side note, I've been working on my FE gifts today. Sheesh, next time I won't do something quite as time consuming.

I certainly want to do it, just wondering if I can book a Med during the trip w/the extra $!! And if we do go for it, of course G can come!! It would be fun for them!

Not me. I would love more room, but my pockets are empty. Now, if DCL wants to shake some pixie dust my way, I certainly won't turn it down.
And, YES, please, a non-sold-out ship would be lovely!

It is 32 days to sailing away! Gotta get thinking about finishing my FE and what to pack, what to pack.

At least it will be warm, so maybe just a sweater for cool sea night or too cool air conditioning.

Oh, and with FE gifts, DH asked are you taking all that? Well, yeah, and I am not done yet! Ok, so maybe I will have to shipp a box.

Must be that humid air that crept into town! It's getting hot again!

Us too, can't wait til the 24th. But have to get all DS's school supplies, school clothes, DH needs a sport coat...and still have another 10 pounds to go before I leave! Guess my goal of buying a bikini for the cruise is not going to come to fruition! Oh well. Have FE gifts mostly done. Wish I had been able to make a gift for everyone, but alas, it will be by stateroom, well, sort of. Trying to figure out what to pack as well. I am going to do my best not to overpack!

We booked the Random Wind sailing trip for St Maarten (indep. of Disney), but just for hubby, myself and our 14yr old son. DD doesn't like small boats or getting in the water with fish (aka snorkeling) so I figure she'll stay in the kids club on board that day. In St Thomas all we have so far is the teen Screamin Eagle boat tour booked for our son.

We booked on Random Wind as well!

the venue is Resorts Intl in AC. We rented a beach house in Brigantine. headed home tmrw. my daughter did very well (3rd overall in solo, 4th overall in duet, high scores in most group numbers). It was a good week.

Hi, your daughter isn't at Chris Collins Dance by chance is she? We lived in Alexandria previously and my daughter was in the company there. Only 6, but we moved before Nationals so she wasn't able to attend. We loved Alexandria and are settling into Jersey now. Soo excited for this cruise!

Yes. Around 3, location yet to be determined. I also proposed a group photo on the atrium staircase, Pirate night around 7:30 usually is a good time. Shutters charges around $75 for a "sitting" fee.

On our way to Sesame Place today. Visited Busch Gardens/Water Country over July 4th, bought a 2 year Platinum pass. For those who don't know Sesame is part of the Busch park family.

We are doing Mtn top downhill rainforest trek in St Maarten, Sail snorkel turtle cove on St Thomas, extreme getaway (fam)) & double watercraft (DH & DD) on Castaway... Anybody else thinking about 5k on Castaway? I think I have my fam convinced

I'm going to do the 5k(my first). Can't convince my hubby to join me though.
