Hello everyone!!! DH and I just finished our first cruise on the Magic (July 9th in the Med) and our newfound addiction "forced" us to book this cruise before we disembarked!!

We're hoping to get a huge gang together for this sailing... So far, it's just DH and I (mid-to-late-30s) but we have other friends that want to join us!!

We're planning to drive to the port from Montreal and park there. It's still cheaper than a flight and it's only a 5.5(ish) hour drive.

Quick question about the one day PH they're giving us: does anyone know whether or not we would be able to use it towards our AP renewal? I've been able to do so before with other "one day included" packages, but I'm not sure how this one will work...

It looks like we will be joining you on this trip. If we do it will be
me, DH, DD who will be 7 and DD who will be 7
my parents: my dad will celebrate his 72nd birthday on the cruise, and their 45th anniversary is the day after we get home
My dsis and her boyfriend will hopefully join us as well. Just waiting to here if they want to come. Parents are taking us for their 45th anniversary.

I was looking at the 2012 cruise schedule for the Manhattan terminal and it lists the Disney Fantasy in port for 4 days beginning 2/28/2012!!!

If this is indeed true then I will be in Battery Park before I head to work to take some pics of her passing the Statue of Liberty!

Then I'll try to race her uptown and get some pics as she pases the Hudson River piers.

There are many hotels in NYC. You should determine what you'd like to do during your prestay and in how much you'd like to spend on the hotel. That will help determine the area to look in. Do you plan on going to Ellis Island, Lady Liberty (which may be closed to visitors next year) and the downtown area or do you plan to do more in midtown? There's lots of hotels at different price points. I would look some up, if I were you and then ask for specific recommendations on those hotels.

We have always cruised with others, in fact, we leave to head for our Alaska cruise next week with a group of 14. This cruise however, is our first booked absolutely alone...hmmm...hadn't really thought about that until now.

We will be leaving for NYC in a year today! Someone in our party works for Hilton so we have a nice rate at the Hampton Inn, just have to get some tickets for a show pre-cruise...hope Mary Poppins is still on Broadway

We are in for FE's and/or candy exchange (haven't seen the candy exchange list yet...). On the EBTA this year we had special lanyards made, anyone interested?

Hi everybody,

it is one year minus one day until the start of this cruise, and we have booked today so are happy to be joining you all.

Us, that's DH and me, no kids, coming all the way from Germany to see New York for the first time ever and then do this cruise, which will be our third. Also like somebody here on the thread mentioned before, we will also be staying on for the northbound cruise on September 2nd.

I can hardly wait!

We leave for the Dream in less than a month. Doing a B2B on her as well. So excited for that. Crunch time on the diet though. I hate that I do that to myself ....

We had a bit of a panic over the leaked and then hastily retracted proposed new alcohol policy, but thank heavens everything is well again. That was a bit of a close call!

Just got back from doing Alaska on the Wonder....what an amazing trip with amazing friends. We booked a dummy date for 2013, but we have this cruise to look forward to in 2012.

Just got back from a 4 night on the Dream on Sunday! We had a great time! Now in 354 days we sail the Magic from NYC! I also booked a dummy cruise hoping that the Magic will go back to the Med in 2013. If not then we'll sail the Fantasy in August of 2013.
