What is everyone booking for Summer 2027?

You can book now and then see if it is any cheaper to use the discount in July. Sometimes it isn’t.
I was going to suggest this too. I wouldn't wait. If you get a better deal using a placeholder, book it, but you may not necessarily get a better price.

GT rates are being offered on this years Croatia cruise. I think the prices are pretty close to opening day prices if my memory is correct. Thought I'd mention it if anyone out there is feeling spontaneous.

Question for the group:

We were able to secure a verandah family and inside cabin room on the same deck and across from each other for one of the Fjords cruises in 2027. My wife mentioned we should consider getting a placeholder during our summer 2026 cruise (May 30th) and calling in to cancel then rebook with the 10% discount.

My questions are:

Can you do this for two rooms?
Room selection is looking slim on this cruise is this an itinerary that will sell out soon and would that cause the price to go up therefore wiping out the 10% savings?
Again considering the rooms are selling out quickly on this one. How likely and I to get same rooms?

Thanks!

Yes - you could book a placeholder for both your wife and yourself, and then book two rooms.
Absolutely possible. Definitely hold on to what you have until you can confirm.
It is possible, but there is time in which the room has been cancelled before it is snagged once again. If you are lucky it will work out, but it is not guaranteed.

Good luck!

Great good to know thanks.

Do you think I can get a price for the same rooms from DCL before canceling to make sure the price hasn’t gone up therefore eliminating the 10% discount and taking on the risk of losing the rooms without the benefit? My next opportunity to do this would be May 30th as I board for my Mediterranean cruise.

They can definitely give you the price before you book. They deal with this fairly often. Just tell them what you are doing up front. My concern with how full ships are looking is that you could get a good price, but might be stuck with GTY rates which also does not help with a family in two rooms. You could be put anywhere and not even on the same deck.

We booked B2Bs on the Dream, 8/13-20. I'm so happy there was a 7 night option on a Dream class ship our of Canaveral this time. :goodvibes
