August 22, 2015 - Fantasy Western

Gosh I can't believe we're already at 5 months and change...Wish WE could do that B2B LOL....maybe next year or for something really big like my DD graduating high school in 4 years.

B2Bs are just so relaxing - I am sure you would love it too! Keeping my fingers crossed it will work out for you next year. :goodvibes

are we splitting the fe list into smaller groups??? or are we keeping it as one huge group???

Should the group grow too big I will break them up into smaller ones of about 20 - 25 staterooms.

Thanks...right now I'm just hoping to get an itinerary that includes San Juan. DH got to pick this year because "you can always go home, I want an adventure we haven't been on, and they always stop there". Then we look, and wouldn't you know it, no more San Juan so far through April (I'm not including the February ones because we can't pull the kids out of school at that time).

Now HE'S hoping DCL adds San Juan because he knows I'll never let him hear the end of it. Married almost 19 years. He knows I won't let him live it down :rotfl:

Does anyone have suggestions of companies that can send a basket to our stateroom. We have used Perfect Gift before. I am very happy with the baskets they have for kids but was looking for one that I could send a couple bottles of liqour. I do carry some beer on board but always like to have a little surprise for my DW and DD as we step into the room.

From what I'm seeing on other threads DCL no longer allows basket deliveries by anyone other than DCL. Even Dreams Unlimited is having to mail baskets to their clients' homes versus sending them to the ship.

Almost past the 5-month mark, folks....5 months 2 days per my ticker....

My wallet is having a panic attack! LOL

Oh wow

That's some news to me. We had them delivered on a few cruises last fall.

That is very disappointing.

Thank you for letting me know.

Yes, that's true. I remember reading a post done by Shirley, where she said that she had no idea why, but they no longer allow outside baskets.

We ARE past the 5 month mark and leave in 7 days for another visit to Florida and a 7 night cruise on the Magic. Guess once we come back we will need to get our act together and get in serious planning mode.

Yes, we have three cruises on the horizon this year. Well, one is not so far away, as in a week from today we will already be on board the Magic. ;) Big birthday celebration too, as Tom has a milestone birthday coming up on the day we set sail. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the rules around bringing alcohol on board has changed? I wish DCL would just get in line with other lines and sell a drink package. I don't ever get crazy on board but also don't want the shock of the bar tab on the last night again!!

You can bring your own alcohol on board as long as you carry it on in your carry on. No coolers.

We are actually quite happy Disney does NOT join the other lines and forbid to bring your own drinks.
You can also order wine and beer packages and a beer mug from DCL. All sodas and regular coffees are free - with a drinks package we might all have to pay for soft drinks as well.

That is a great point. Thank you for the reply.

Just got back from a great trip to New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville & Pigeon Forge/Smoky Mountains, Drove 2,065 miles thru 8 States in 15 days.
Now we can start planning August :)

We had to change our plans and will not be sailing with you all. I modified the first post accordingly. Happy sailing to all.

Hi everyone!

My name is Trisha and we are going to be on this cruise for the first part of our B2B. Our family consists of DD 6, DS 20, DH and myself. We are coming in from the west coast of Canada. This will be our third cruise with Disney, both times before were on the Wonder.

Does anyone have any port excursions planned? We did this itinerary a few years ago with RCL so I believe the plan is just to enjoy local beaches this time.

If anyone is traveling with a 18-22 year old that would be interested in getting to know my son feel free to PM me for his contact information. He is at a tricky age to enjoy a Disney cruise, on our Alaska cruise last year he did join the young adult meet up group but not many showed up. The cruise before that he brought a friend but this time he doesn't have a friend who can afford to join us.

Welcome aboard Trisha and family.
Not looked at any port excursions yet but we don't tend to do any on the shorter cruises, we did some on the 14 night Transatlantic but even then we could have easily gone without any.
