August 22, 2015 - Fantasy Western

Hi all.

Just booked this cruise a couple of days ago. Deck 9 or 10.

The gang coming from the UK is myself, my wife, son 16 and daughter 14.

We are a family of typically stuck up Brits. Anything anyone says about my tequila fueled dancing is a lie.

We were lucky enough to do this exact same cruise this year, same ship, dates, ports of call. Need to get our fix for next year.

Darren

:welcome:
Great to know there are more Europeans on board! :thumbsup2
We did that same cruise in 2013 (back 2 back with an Eastern) and are going to repeat our experience too! :goodvibes

We had to back out of this cruise at this time for financial reasons.

We are on the FE list. We need to be removed.

I hope you guys have a blast. Maybe things will turn around, but I am thinking we may shoot for one of the 5 nights on the Wonder out of Miami with any tax return we may get.

Kim

Thanks for letting me know, Kim.

Very sorry to loose you here, but you at least are thinking about taking a cruise on the Wonder.

I will take you off the list.

Trying to decide whether we should change cruise dates to Aug 22. The hiccup is one 18 year old who will start college on the 31st. Any similar cruisers in this group? I don't want him to be alone as his brothers are hangin out in ViBE.

:welcome:
Please let us know once you have decided if you want to take this cruise.

Sorry, but I cannot help with your question.

Hi all,
My name is Terri and my husband is Abe and we have 3 children, Sophia will be 7, Ryan will be 4 and Justin will be almost 2 when we sail. This will be our very 1st Disney cruise and I am very excited. We will be surprising the kids and wrapping up a few Disney items with the cruise info video and pictures of the ship and putting it under the tree for Christmas. We would love to be part of the Fish extenders. We have never done it but others we know who have cruised on Disney have told us how much fun it is. Any pointers you all can give me would be much appreciated. Is this how I register to be part of the FE Group? Thanks all, happy holidays!!

Your very 1st Disney cruise? Well, I am pretty sure it will NOT be your last. ;) Cruising with Disney can become VERY addictive. :thumbsup2

I will gladly put you on the FE list (need to do it at the weekend as I don't have enough time at the moment). All I still need will be your stateroom number.
There is quite a bit of information about the FE in the links in my first post. Please let me know if you have any other questions about it. :goodvibes

Just done the 14 night WBTA (then a week in Florida) while onboard we booked this cruise.

I really hope we keep this cruise but a lot could happen between now and next Summer.
Our Son is just starting his final year at University(Lancaster UK), when he finishes next July he has been offered a 1 year contract working at Lancaster University Ghana, West Africa.
If he accepts the job we will probably cancel the cruise and sail another time when he is available to go with us, if he turns down the offer and continues with a Masters degree then we will probably keep the cruise as he will get the summer off.

I was torn about posting due to the uncertainty of us sailing but I hate joining these threads too late and playing catch up.

We are Wayne, Karen & Mathew, this will be our 8th Disney Cruise(plus 2 RCCL) We also love Florida, taking around 35 vacations there totalling almost 2 years.

A quick update, we are definitely doing the cruise.
Booked flights a couple of days back, 6th-29th August.:thumbsup2

Happy New Year from Amsterdam. Sat in Schipol airport waiting to go back to the UK. Had 3 nights here, celebrations here were amazing last night. The Dutch know how to put on a good Firework display.

Happy New Year!!!

Now we can say that we are going on a cruise this year.

We are going on our 3rd Disney Cruise this August 22. Our state room is 6106. It will be myself, my MIL, Mom and two kids. We would like to join in on the Fish extenders but unsure how to do it. I was hoping that this would be a way for my kids to meet up with other kids on the cruise. My DS will be 14 and is very introverted so I am hoping that maybe he can meet up with other kids his age. My DD will be 10 and she is very extroverted so no worries there! Can someone tell me how to sign up and what we need to do? Thanks!...So excited!

You will like cruising with Disney - they definitely know how to do it right. ;)

To join the FE exchange (please read the info in my first post) I will need everyones first names, the ages of any kinds in the stateroom and your stateroom number.
Once I have that information I will put you on the list. :thumbsup2

Hello everyone!
We booked our cruise last year, but as this will be our first Disney cruise, I am still learning what we need to do. This will be my 3rd cruise, my mother's at least 4th, and the kids, their first!

We are super excited to join this group, and would like to be added to the FE list as well. The ideas are already churning! No room assignment yet, but we'll update as soon as we have one.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Crystal (me) :upsidedow
Donna (grandma) :laundy:
Alexia (DD12):cheer2:
Logan (DS9) pirate:

So, will be my third overall cruise but my daughter's first (she will be 5 by the time of the cruise).
As of now, just a Daddy Daughter Cruise.
Hoping to keep it a surprise for her. She will know we are going away and plan to give her some themed clothes to wear on the plane for the way down.
Wanted to book a 11:50 am flight to return - anyone know if this will be an issue?

Feel free to ask any questions that may come up. This will be our 16th Disney cruise. They really know how to do it right and there is so much to see and do that even with a B2B on our last Fantasy cruises we didn't get to do and see everything we wanted to. :lmao:

You are on the FE list! :thumbsup2

A Daddy Daughter Cruise sounds great!
And you must be a lot better at keeping secrets than me. I would never be able to keep it a secret for so long. :goodvibes

You might cut it close with your 11:50 flight but I guess it is doable. You would have to either be in first seating for breakfast, or just have some buffet breakfast and get off as soon as you can.
Last February we skipped the Dining Room breakfast and had a bit of buffet, got off the ship and into our rental which was parked at port and we were at WDW at 10am. So as you can see - it IS doable. :thumbsup2

We have been trying to plan our August trip recently.
Booked flights into Miami on August 6th, fly home from MCO right after the cruise on the 29th. Got a great deal with AA Business Class from Dublin (cheaper than economy from Manchester UK)
Booked hotel in Key West for 5 nights.
Spending a few nights travelling from Miami to KW back thru the Everglades up the west coast to Orlando for 7 nights then cruise our final week.

8 weeks today we leave for our next trip to New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville & Smoky Mountains. Booked flights, most our hotels, lots of shows need to sort car rental next :goodvibes

Have a great weekend everyone.

Isn't planning half the fun? ;)
Where are you going to stay in Key West? We love the Southernmost on the beach :cloud9:
Ah, and a trip along the Gulf Coast. Awesome! Did that years ago and we really wanna repeat it.

We are one week behind you, when it comes to our next vacation. :lmao: We are going on a Western Caribbean on the Magic.
And booked our rental just last week. :thumbsup2
