August 2025 Refurbs - Haunted Mansion down on 8/9 for overlay installation - Radiator Springs Racers down 8/18

Possibly a glitch or it just wasn’t reported accurately, but the app was showing Guardians with the 13 minute wait for a little bit during the first hour of park opening (side note: I kind of love that they still do that even though it hasn’t been ToT for almost a decade). I don’t think I’ve seen that ride anywhere close to a walk on in a lonnnng time 😂

Naturally, it jumped to 45 minutes shortly after.

August 9 to August 21. overlay addition for Haunted Mansion Holiday which debuts on August 22.

If Racers is also down a month

I mean I'm not joking the tickets should be cheaper...those are two of the best rides in the park and GOTG is still not at 100%
Let's be honest, tickets to DCA only should be cheaper every day. There is so much less to do there compared to DL and the situation is worse when two major rides are offline. They also still have Guardians at 2/3 capacity and Soarin at 1/2 capacity. The situation in August could be pretty grim at DCA if at least Soarin is not back up to 100%.

It will get worse next year with Monsters Inc. closing. Eventually, there will be the two new Avengers rides, Coco, and Avatar. That's still a ways off!

There are rumors of a show coming back to the theater to help with Monsters going down...lets hope its true but yeah I love DCA but after Mickey they should have just started on DCA....Tia's was not needed and the fact the ride has the same wait times show why it was such a waste of time with DCA needing more attractions. We could have the Ironman flat ride ready and be less then 12 months away from the Avengers ride but no, now that all got pushed back a year where most likley Avatar wont open until after the olympics

Anyway, sucks for people coming for Oggie boogie event as well these events cost a lot....like you can go to USH Halloween event for half the price and Disney somehow gets away with doing the same event each year and this year we get two new villains plus rides down and some not even fully ready to eat up guests like GOTG and maybe Soarin (like I hope they can get it ready to go by next month but we will see)

But agreed, no idea how both parks are the same price Disneyland has over 50 attractions and DCA has maybe half of that

Disney gets away with it because guests keep buying tickets. Sales will need to slow way down for anything to change.

(I know you understand that but simple supply vs demand will not stop Disney even if DCA had 1 attraction left)

I’m sure most here have heard about the permits filed for BTMR. Whats your guess on when it will go down and for how long?

My mom and I are planning on going in September. Anything yet about what will likely be down in early-mid Sept.?

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but the storybook land canal boats was supposed to go down for refurb on 7/21, but now it’s going down on 7/28 (the same day Casey Jr goes on refurb). I believe I heard their refurbs were related so maybe they decided to start them at the same time?

Casey is getting new track and SBL is getting a canopy over the queue and possibly new additions to ride.

Agreed! Such a fun and nostalgic ride. Didn't do it for many years and now try to do it every time.
Do we have any idea how long it will be down? Hoping only a month or so. Taking my 3 (almost 4 year old) at the end of September and he loves Casey Jr so that gives them almost 2 months before I arrive.....

Two weeks ago, I rode Autopia - the first time I was ever on the combined Fantasyland-Tomorrowland Autopia, and the first time on any version since probably the first half of the ‘90s. It was right before park closing and there was no line - but we still got plenty of stares LOL. To be honest… it was the most fun we’ve had at DLR in awhile!

I think you’ve convinced me to try Casey Jr train! I haven’t been on that since I was finally tall enough to ride the BTM train, so sometime in the late 80s. Maybe it’ll give us the same feeling Autopia did!
