Continuing with the Great Mouse Detective, we have Professor Ratigan (a.k.a. Raya's trainer ) -


Basil's long-time arch-enemy, and based on Professor Moriarty from the Sherlock Holmes franchise, professor Ratigan is voiced by Vincent Price:

Some Ratigan Trivia:
His first name is Padraic.
He hates being called a rat, and refers to himself as a big mouse.
He is animated with 5 fingers, unlike the usual 4 that the rest of the characters have.
He has a pet cat named Felicia.

+60 since you mentioned him, I feel obligated to share that Vincent Price is one of the voices of Phantom Manor, at Disneyland Paris. The most distinctive part of the recording you'll hear is his laugh - the same one from the song Thriller. Someday, I'll get there to hear it live.

Continuing with the GMD, we have Olivia and Hiram Flaversham:


Olivia is the five-year-old girl mouse who comes to Basil for help in finding her father, who has been kidnapped (on her birthday, no less!) by Fidget the bat. She was voiced by then eight-year-old Susanne Pollatschek, who did not continue with Disney voice acting as a career.

Olivia's father, Hiram Flaversham, is a Scottish toymaker with a shop in London. He specializes in very lifelike automata, which makes him valuable to Ratigan in his plot to takeover Buckingham Palace. He was voiced by Alan Young, who you might know better as the voice of Scrooge McDuck.

But I learned in the video below that he also voiced Farmer Smurf and co-wrote the original Mickey's Christmas Carol album (in 1974, not the 1983 cartoon version). ~

According to the Disney Wiki:
In the film, Dr. David Q. Dawson is a surgeon who returns home to London, England after military service in Afghanistan. After he hops off his carriage, Dawson comes across a little girl mouse named Olivia Flaversham inside a boot, crying her eyes out about her father, Hiram, being captured by Fidget, sidekick to the dastardly Professor Ratigan. Feeling very sorry for the young mouse, he escorts her to Baker street as quickly as possible. He is surprised by Basil's strangeness but soon catches on to his personality. After Dawson catches a hint of Fidget's trace, Basil offers to make him his partner... He later becomes Basil's assistant and the two mice become lifelong associates.

In Once Upon a Studio, Dawson appears during "When You Wish Upon a Star", with Basil, Olivia, Berlioz, Marie, Toulouse, Duchess, Thomas O'Malley, Tod, Copper, Gurgi, Dumbo, Timothy Q. Mouse, Flit, Mama Odie, and Boun as they surround Pocahontas as she sings. Dawson and The Great Mouse Detective characters join in singing the last line with the other Disney characters as the group photo is successfully taken for Disney's 100th anniversary.

Dr. Dawson uses Daffy Duck's catchphrase, "You're despicable!", when he and Basil are tied up in a giant mouse trap by Ratigan. He also uses Dr. Emmett Brown's catchphrase, "Great Scott".

He was inspired by Dr. Watson in the Sherlock Holmes books and voiced by Val Bettin - an American voice actor, who was known for using an English accent in all of his roles. For Disney, he voiced David Q. Dawson and a thug guard in the 1986 Disney animated feature film The Great Mouse Detective. He also voiced The Sultan of Agrabah in The Return of Jafar (1994), Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996), and the Aladdin television series (and Hamed), replacing Douglas Seale. In addition, he voiced Archimedes Q. Porter in the Tarzan video game.
