Mazel Tov!
Thanks!
Mazel Tov!
I think you've got a good plan. When we do rope drop we schedule our fp's for mid to late morning. If we are heading out in the afternoon or evening, we schedule the three back to back for arrival. We also change our fp's a lot while we are there. The only fp we will keep and never attempt to change is The Mine Train. So let's talk FP+ strategies. I've read the FP+ strategy thread, plus all the FP+ strategies I can find on other websites and I'm really struggling with how to approach my planning. We've always been rope drop people, and were able to definitely maximize use of legacy FP so that we could ride the headliners numerous times each day. That doesn't appear to be feasible with FP+, other than those rides with single rider lines. I think with RD plus FP+ we'll be able to maybe get two rides on the headliners each day, other than using single rider line where available.
My husband and 16 year old DD have informed me that they want this to be a relaxing vacation (LOL!!!!) and for them, that means not doing RD. So my older DD and I will be doing RD. Because of this, I'm thinking that the recommendations from Josh at easywdw may be our best option -- RD, and have our FP+ scheduled for mid-morning. That way Alyssa and I can get as many rides in as possible during those first couple of hours, and DH and Brie can join us for our mid-morning FP+.
Thoughts? What touring strategy has worked best for you with FP+?
That's a great idea. I keep checking but I'm afraid the one day I don't check that I will miss it! I'm hoping for 8:00am too.Hello my August friends....
If and when BOG breakfast in August opens up, could someone please post here in case I miss the announcement or don't check myself (you know, after you've made several of your own reservations for multiple days). I'm hoping for an 8am breakfast one morning.
Thanks!
Touring plans just adjusted the crowd calendar and upped all the numbers for August..our week 16th to 23rd just went from a 6 to a 8/9..UGH
I think the crowds for late August may be what has been more typical for early August. The late Labor Day holiday may push the lull in the crowds back a week. I hope that's all it is...We will be there the same week as you. I also got the same email from Touring Plans. I am just surprised that none of the other crowd calendars have been updated this way. I knew going in late August wasn't going to be low crowds but I was hoping to not have Christmas level crowds.
I see from your signature that you are a teacher (me too), so likely a planner lol. I have typed up my list of FP+ times but I need a plan 'B' in case I don't get the times/rides I need. I am in the middle of working on report cards and making FP+ plans but FP+ is wayyyyy more fun to do! Our summer holidays start June 28th so I've started that count down tooOur fast pass window opens soon. I can't believe it. I know our park plans, but I haven't even thought about fast passes yet. I guess I should get on that.
