August 2015, it's early but who's with me?!

I was sent a disney confirmation number within an hour of booking the magical deal. It is linked on my MDE and I can do our ADR's myself or have our magical TA do all of the ADR's.... So if you don't like navigating the disney website, your TA can make ADR's for you!

I'm not sure if I'm asking this the right way, but since I'm new to the whole process, I'm wondering... Are there any specific questions I should ask? Like about linking my account for FP, transportation, etc...The deal sounds so wonderful, but I am no expert at navigating the Disney system (which is why I am here :confused3), and I don't want to miss out on anything. If I book a magical deal like this, how does it limit my Disney experience? Or does it? Thanks for indulging my questions. I am excited by the possibility that I may actually be able to make this happen! !pixiedust:

Do you have a MDE account with Disney? If not, you can easily sign up for one. Your travel agent will send you your res # and there is a spot to look it up/bring it into MDE if it is not already there. Ours was there in minutes, but we set it up last year. They book the room and tickets just like any agent would. We used AAA last year and it worked similarly, but they seem WAY more knowledgeable and willing to help book ADRs, etc. They can assist with Magical Express once you have your flight info too. You can still book ADRs 180+10 and FP+. It is still a WDW resort reservation. ;)

So, really, it is with MDE that I do everything anyway, unless I need to modify my reservation, which I'd do through the TA?
OK, thanks! ! I feel better already. Now I just have to see how magical the quote is!

It's so magical!

I was worried about having control too. For some reason I had the feeling that when you booked through an agency they basically did everything for you and you couldn't touch it. She told me she would give me my confirmation and I can do all of the ADRs and stuff myself! :)

Yup!

I got my reservation number within an hour of booking and added to MDE. She also gave me my dates that I can make ADR's and FP+. I will do those myself.

I used them for the same deal in 2013 and there was no problems at all.We stayed at BC and there were a few other families that we met using them too.I just booked BC for next Aug again! They only take a 200 deposit up front and then give you your res # that you can call or set up online directly with Disney.

That will be very helpful! I will prob want the control of handling those myself also. With that info, and that amount of magic, it seems crazy not to book. I can even add a couple extra days to what I had planned and be way under budget. Probably gonna go for the Poly, since it's been on my wish list forever, and I was told that the TA will modify at my request if Disney offers something even more cost effective. So... why not?

Now I can't wait to get home so I can call her back!

Do they send magic bands in the mail before your trip or how does that work ? I seen that for BC it is only standard rooms that are available. Did you get to make a room request and if so did you get a pretty good room location ? I also read on a post that someone had trouble booking their dining reservations . Did you have any trouble making dining reservations ? I know the dining plan is not included but you can still make dining reservations right ?

You will get Magic Bands, and should have no problems with FP+ or ADR. One thing to keep in mind is you can't upgrade or modify your tickets at WDW, it must be done via the TA.

The tickets are also a great deal with this TA.

I got 8 day park hoppers for about $100 cheaper than UT. Plus I get a free fun day at DQ, mini golf or one of the water parks.

8 days is the max and they can't be upgraded at the parks. Must be done ahead with the TA.

You SHOULDN'T have any problems with online ADRs, but then back in 2013 booking ADRs online was a mess and we had some work-around that included tricking our PC to think we were in the UK and used the UK site... crazy! Any problems you might encounter I would think would be because of Disney's IT, site crashes, etc. you should still be able to make your ADRs with a TA reservation. A general public DDP isn't usually offered at 180, so linking that happened later. Confusing, but you should be fine. As a back-up, prepare to call and have your room res # handy if online doesn't work. Things like BBB and PL have to be booked via phone too (at least in 2013, not sure if that has changed?). I have also heard some issues with some restaurants not fully releasing tables at 180, so you never know.

Also, the TA that booked our magical deal mentioned he could also help book ADRs. It is comforting to know that we can maybe attempt some of the harder to get ones together.

Ok thanks :thumbsup2 What's BBB and PL ? Making reservations online is the fun part to me lol. I will also be trying to snag a Wishes Dessert Party.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique princess: and Pirate's League pirate:
yup, sorry 'bout that. Also the pirate's cruise at the different resorts, forgot about that one too, we had to call. Fantasmic! Dining package options also did not show for us at first, but I know a lot has changed. Still sounds like the website/MDE has glitches though. Keep a paper trail of your ADRs. ;)

People of the Board....
Yippee!!
I am going to Disney!!!
Booked this morning with a most magical deal at the Poly. In the past, I had only hoped to stay at the Poly. With this deal, it's silly not to!! I know it's almost a year away, but I am soooo excited.
The TA was very helpful and answered my boat load of questions.
Many thanks for sharing your secret here. I am very grateful. :worship: (My children will be too, come next August when I spring this surprise on them)!
