august 2013 codes for rental cars?

Landed at 11.30 was in a car by 12. Not a lot to choose from. 10 cars maybe, impalas sonatas and altimas. Our 2 27 inch bags would not fit in the sonata so we grabbed an impala.
They required a credit card in the name of the primary driver. National is faster to get you out the door.
Funny though we asked where we the aisle was to get our standard size and he directed us to mid size. Yeah we then found the full size aisle.

Picked up a minivan from National yesterday morning. Used the Compass Group code to get it for $250/week +fees and was not asked for any I.d. I only saw 5 minivans in the reserve row. The aisle had mostly cars with 2 captiva crossovers.

Just got my Alamo rental from 189 to 152!

I used the Costco contract and visa 30 at Alamo and the the price beat those through costcotravel.

I had to do it 3 times though!!! Every time I went to view/modify the reservation, the base rate went up! Same thing happen when I clicked on the online check in! The total rate increase by about $17.

But I still got the lower base and total rates when I booked a new reservation.

Anyone else experience this problem? Any problems if the confirmation shows a lower base rate from the computer when picking up the car?

So I booked a new reservation with the lower rate and DID not try to view it and went back and cancelled all the other previous ones. Lol. I will not do online check in and print my email confirmation and hope for the best!!

Yeah, three dollars, but you guys understand... every bit helps and it's the "thrill" of getting a better deal. Also, I really thought it was as good as it was going to get. I almost convinced myself to stop checking!!!!

Alamo, insider, visa coupon, Aug 31 @ 2:30pm to Sept 14 @ 4:30pm, standard/fullsize... $274.70.

The minivan price still hasn't budged, but I haven't given up hope yet. (it's $683.38)

Question- I logged in as an insider(Alamo), used my pass holder code and visa code to book. Now since I logged in as a pass holder do we still get the second driver free?

Sorry...How about clearing all the history or opening a different browser. It works better for me on Google Chrome than IE.

I agree....that dang site can be absolutely maddening.

The coupon is still working for me as of tonight. Like the others have said, I have had success after clearing the cookies, and closing/reopening my browser. Good luck!

I ran your dates with a noon pick up and drop off, and get $423 for the midsize SUV and $424 for the standard SUV. Minivan is $506 and a full size SUV is $574. All rates with the Insiders discount and Visa coupon.

I think I have seriously checked the rates at least a half dozen times since I found the price drop early this afternoon. I may need therapy before this is over .
