I was able to get a better rate on a Full Size today through Alamo than I have been able to for a few weeks. Using the Costco code mentioned prevously in this post the total cost for 10 days with tax $216

In fact, the Full Size is lower than the mid size and the standard size. I'm sure this will change again. But when I logged on this morning and retried this is the rate I was able to get, and I'm really happy with it actually. If it drops lower, great! If not it's ok, I'm happy with that rate.

I did read on another travel message board that 3 weeks out is usually the time prices will drop to the lowest price -- not sure if this is always the case or not. However, I'll still be on the hunt for a better rate until the day I leave for WDW!

Leaving in two days and just had my standard size car rate drop $70.00!!!!

We are now at $161.00 with taxes and fees for eight days!!!!! I've never had a rate drop this close to a trip.

Alamo insiders code and the $35.00 off coupon. Keep checking those rates!!!!

I just noticed on my reservation that the coupon says American Airlines Valley Offer-

What do I need to join to make this legit? I thought the coupon was from Alamo mistakenly.

Can I use the kiosk with the Alamo Insiders Code and the American Airlines Coupon?

I have the same thing so I just signed up for AAdvantage and will bring the print out with my membership number with me just to be safe.

Thanks for the clarification. I have the 'save time' on my reservation and I will use it so I can just go to the kiosk. I really appreciate the help that is so readily available on the DIS

Typically, I believe you cannot use the kiosk if you have a coupon code.

I decided to play with my reservation and see if I could drop the car off a day early so that we can take ME back to the airport to avoid an extra step the morning we leave. I was able to book a mid size car from dollar with a city special. I will pick it up at MCO and drop it off at the Wyndham LBV. My rate for the 6 days is $76, $123 total with fees. I hope this is a good choice for us! I still have a confirmation for the full week for $135. What would you do? I am surprised we aren't being penalized for a drop off at a different location!

Typically, I believe you cannot use the kiosk if you have a coupon code.

Even better! I just called the Wyndham to see if we can use their shuttle to get to the parks that day. That helps make our decision! We can get up that morning, drop off the car, and head to the park for our last day.

I still think I'm winning here - 109 for a standard (with taxes) for 7 days at the end of august, through alamo. That's when the rates dropped dirt cheap 2 weeks ago.

i doubt if they're going to go cheaper than that.

We landed in Sandford last night and the TIND1 worked fine. We had an economy for 7 days for $123. They were out and we got a minivan! Flying in late pays!

Our rate is close to yours.....$115 taxes incl. for one week August 26 - September 2 (full size car). Like you, I think that's the best we are going to get.

Keep checking your rates right up to the last minute!

I leave tomorrow and have booked a standard through Alamo this morning for a week (pick up at MCO and drop off at Dolphin) for $119 inclusive of all taxes and fees. We're there for 11 days so we just won't have a car for the last four days and will take ME back to the airport. To keep it for the full 11 days the cost went up almost $100.

I used the insiders code and the $35 of AA coupon.

Check your rates!!! They just dropped this afternoon. I was able to get a standard through Alamo for 10 days for $193 INCLUDING TAXES!

I know I'm going in sept. but thought I would try this out... this one gives me a price of 324 for a minivan, but if I use the
7014627 with the AD code, I am now at 282
