Try calling the customer service number. This happened to me in May with Alamo - by the time I added a day, the rates had gone back up so making a new res. or modifying my existing doubled the rate.
When I called the Insider's number, they added the day at the same daily rate as what I had already booked, rather than the new rate.
I just checked my dates with Dollar, and they are over $100/week more than yesterday. Are you an Express member with Dollar? I suggest joining, then calling the CS number.

But to be honest, I am really thinking about just sticking with the buses at this point. Since I added the extra day, I don't want to spend more $$ on a car. Pop has always had some of the best bus service on property in our experience. Plus, the idea of getting into a boiling hot car that has been sitting in a parking lot in August isn't helping influence my decision!

But I will still lurk around on the thread in case a fab deal come up. My motto is never say never....
