We are currently booked on an Alaskan cruise right now but it is 98% chance we are going to cancel and hit DL for the D23 convention. I think we are looking at checking in on 8/15-8/22 (doing two nights in LA before). Right now we are booking the Hilton with a package because it is a great deal and close to the Convention center.

We are hoping that maybe the DL hotel will come out with a general discount? Then we would split the stay and stay in a DL property for the first few days and switch to the Hillton for the convention. The marriot is already booked solid

Is anyone familiar with DL discounts and if there will be any general public offers for aug?

We are going to be in Disneyland for the D23 Expo and will be staying in the Disneyland Hotel between August 17 and 21. Hope to see some of you there.

Jack, I had to change the dates for my first trip in Aug. DD's best friend can't make it in the 5th. We have changed it to 8/10 to 8/11 at the same hotel. The VGC, of course. Sorry. That date shouldn't be in danger of changing.

My friend Michele and I will be staying at the Grand California Villas for August 14th - 18th and then moving over to the Hilton for D23 Expo August 18th - 22nd.

Just booked my room just awhile ago and I will be down their on August 18 - 22, 2011 during the D23 Expo. I can't believe it was a year and a half ago since the first D23 Expo back in 2009 which was awesome. Now I am looking forward to this one in August. I will be staying at BW Stovall's during my visit.

Does anyone know what to expect weather wise in so cal for Aug? I read it could be anywhere from 60-83 and that's a big difference. What should an East Coaster like me expect? Even in NY or Augusts are really, really hot.
