Not sure of my exact dates but definitely be around DLR at the D23 Expo August 19-21. I am planning to come a few days early yo spend some at the parks. So likely August 17-21 for HydroGuy.

Jack! I have two dates:

August 5 to the 6th for DD 16th birthday. I should have fun with her and her best friend and
August 19 to the 21st for the D23 Expo. By myself. I don't think I will have much trouble finding anyone to hang out with since I will be among my own kind.

I just noticed from you signature you are from Portland. We are from Lebanon, down in the "south valley". If I may ask, are you guys flying or driving? If driving, will you drive straight through or take an extra day. We are driving and DBF is thinking about driving straight through going down then maybe taking an extra day or two on the way home. We love Disney so much that I think he just wants to get to the "magic" as so as possible. LOL

Hi Jack. You are going for our usual dates! Younger DS's birthday is August 5. Due to DH's work we had to go end of July last year instead and won't make DS's birthday this year either. We will definitely go sometime in August this year though, but don't know our exact dates yet, probably around mid-month.

That's not a bad theory - to get there as quickly as possible but being prepared to be moving much more slooowly at the end of the trip! Giving yourself an extra day to take it easy getting home sounds good. Of course, other people may be just ready to be home and in their own beds by then...I suppose it just depends on each family!

We are driving this time. We're actually taking a longer road trip, with a stop at the Grand Canyon for a few days before getting to DLR. At the end of the trip, we are planning on taking two days to get back home from DLR. My brother has cerebral palsy and it would be too hard on him to do a hard-core push to drive home in one round. And, I'm assuming we'll be a little tired, as well!
