I want to us points for a trip to WDW, staying at the CR in August, '2008.

I know Disney Collection trips have different rules and point values can change, so I was wondering the following:

If I book right away in September, is it likely the value season will be relatively the same in '08 as in '07. Also, if the new point charts aren't out, will I be booked by '07 rates? Will they adjust if there is a change either way?

Also, when staying at a WDW DIsney Collection hotel like the CR, will a park tickets be included in the package/on the key? In general (as I'm making my first DVC stay in WDW an a matter of months), what's the best way to go about getting park tickets usually?

I'm interested in other's views of this as well, b/c we are looking at a Disney Collection booking for next spring.

One thing I think that you can count on is point requirements going up somewhat from year to year, although this year's chart probably is a decent indication.

Also, even if it is 11 months out, MS may not let you make a reservation if points charts for the next year are not yet out (at least this has been my past experience), and you may have to wait until the charts are out.

As to park tickets, you can certainly purchase them when you check into the hotel, and they can be added to your room key at that time. You can also buy tickets in advance. The Mousesavers website has some information on discounted tickets. If you purchase them this way, however, they cannot be added to your room keys.

Unless there has been a recent change, you can add pre-bought park tickets to your room key, as long as the tickets have not been previously used. We have done this many times. You will need to wait in the concierge line at the resort. Pending on the length of the line and the skill/experience of your CM, this process should only take a minute or two (although it once took us over a half hour with a new CM).

I stand corrected. Sorry for the wrong information.
