Help!!! I'm stuck in a chat room full of men! We need some women in there! Come save me!!!

Tracy
Sorry Tracy, didn't go on chat or Dis. (WOW, must set a record breaker, for being away the whole day from here and skip chat!!) :earseek: :rotfl:
Family was here and it was hectic!! Went to Bridal shower and then went to look at houses. My sis, BIL and nephew might move here!! (hope so!!)
Hope the LOON didnt' drive you crazy!!
Speaking of loons, when we got back from shower, the guys weren't here at home and i said, "Where are those LOONEYHOODS??" My sis and my mom said, "what did you just said?, looneyhoods??" Guess i hang around WAY too much here!!! :rotfl2:

Val, just showed your pic to Brianne!! She was in awe!! She wondered if Rachel had school today!!

Ginger and Estelle, looking forward to meet you at Dismeet...Marsha, you coming?? My offer still on table!! ;)

Chat actually turned out ok. A couple sisters came to save me and then later we had an appearance by Howard (DH of Dletz). That was a treat too!

of course, i missed chat when there is something good going on!!!

Would have love to meet BD and Howard!! Oh well, hopefully next time!!

Gotta get ready for work!! :flower:

School is cancelled today due to snow! This has happened only once before since I've lived here. We got a lot. I still have to work  Hopefully the snowplows have been out!

It would take a whole lot more 'sisters' to help out these women.

Melinda it was like we were having a board meeting for JGE. There was Myself, Grumbo, Jazzman, Peter, Howard, Paul, Jason and even BD. The only person missing was Izzinmac. Tracy, Val, Arlene and Donna served drinks and cleaned up after us...Mark

Are you sure you want to associate yourself with the likes of that group? You can be an honorary sisterhood member -- our only brother!

Remember that Melinda's offer for JGE was only recently rejected (US$6,000,000, plus a pick of any 3 sisters, plus a player to be named later).

You are all just pawns in her grand plan.

kmiles is much safer with the Brotherhood.

The nicest thing happened to my daughter today. She and I are home today feeling under the weather when the mail arrives. Much to our surprise, she receives a package. With great anticipation and much excitement, the package is opened and she finds a book, not just any book I might add, but "How I Became a Pirate" !!! It's a beautifully illustrated children's book. The look of joy on her face as she opened the book was priceless. Then we find the "secret" note in the front of the book. Who could have done such a nice thing as to send her a package? It's not her birthday, it's not Christmas, who would do such a great thing for my daughter? Drum roll please............................................................Tracy and Bill Whipple. Yes, our editor in chief and wine tasting organizer extraordinaire and her wonderful husband were nice enough to send along a gift to surprise my daughter. A random act of kindness. In my book, this type of thoughtfulness ranks #1. Thank you, Tracy and Bill, for making a little girl smile on a "I don't feel very good" kind of day. We, too, look forward to meeting you both in August.

Hello fellow fools!

For anyone who is planning to make their own t-shirt designs for the kids - I found lime green t-shirts at Walmart in the boy section.

Enjoying another nice spring day here! Hope those with snow get rid of it soon!

Have a great day!

Sorry Kmiles, I didn't see you there. Were you perhaps there as an alias??...Mark

Oh, yes, that's a common occurrence in chat! I should have thought of that.

I can't believe that the Sisterhood would even begin to think that JGE is only worth $6,000,000! I mean, you can't even begin to put a value on the creative assets that the company has!

And, it's so diversified that one couldn't go wrong in investing. Which is why I think we should let the company go public. We could have an IPO. Not sure what the asking price for the stock should be opened at but it would have to be quite high. The Sisterhood is sure to want to get in on the ground level and we'll be happy to take advantage of that!

For those of you who are Red Sox fans - don't count on an easy buy of tickets before the cruise. We bought tickets 1 week after they went on sale and the best we could do was upper deck infield on Friday night. The bad news is upper deck - the good news is $12 per ticket.

Yeah thats whats available for the Thursday game too.
HOWEVER :)
For all of you rich Americans if you go on the Angel's website, you CAN buy the better seats via Ticketmaster in a format that permits their season's ticket holders to throw their tickets back in for sale.
Lots of good tickets available for the Thursday game (Didn't look at Friday) but for what they want for the tickets I could get a cruise worth of Bahama mamas and two weeks at the Rainforest Spa :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Can someone tell me -- is the ballpark near DL?

Walking distance - no, but pretty close. I can't remember exactly, but I believe it is less than 5 miles and probably less than 2.

Using a map programme it shows 3.8 kms (2.5 miles) really close.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo, I think izzinmac was working on a scheme ...er a deal that involved tickets and transportation to the game before the cruise. He said he'd run it by either you or jazz by late today...Mark
