We had a great day today --everybody pitched in and cleaned off the back deck and had our first barbecue of the season and celebrated my neice's birthday ( a couple of weeks late).

Lawn work starts tomorrow The deer have decided to attack our flowers. The white magnolia is in full bloom & the pink one is getting ready. Still have two trees to plant --- been in planters for two years now - til we decide where to put them.

Benita should be able to get a lot of nice pictures for the spring photo contest Esp. when the azaleas start blooming

Pongo (my DH David) is really starting to get into this cruise thing (finally!). Recall he was the one who said "Let's not talk about the cruise until June".

A week or so ago he (lovingly) called us the "Ship of Idiots or something" and I quickly corrected him (he simply didn't know the correct phrase SOF).

Now he is asking if we are gonna have a huge blow out party at Serenity Bay because it will be our last day and we will all have all that left over liquor to consume!

Go Pongo!! Atta Boy!! Arrrrrr!!

Hi Fools. It sounds like chat was fun last night. Sorry I didn't joint in, but it was 2.00 a.m. our time, I had been cooking all day and we entertained some friends for dinner and by the time we had said our goodbyes and cleared away, I could hardly see straight. I would love to join in chat again, but the timing is not good for us Brits who go to bed early!

Spring is definitely here.
I went out this morning, broke the ice off of the pool cover, and fit it back on. I got the all season tires out of the shed, loaded them in the van, and dropped it off at COSTCO, where they're taking the snow tires off, and will be done around noon.
We'll be raking and pillaging the lawn and garden today. There is still about 2 - 3" of ice in the pool, but the snow is all gone except for some spots that are in the shade....
Wow I love this time of year
I am beginning to realize how much Winter really sucks!!!

Definitely not spring here today! We've got at least 6 inches of the 6-12 inches they were predicting, and the snow is blowing horizontally. I guess the weathermen get to be right once in a while. They promise the sun will come out on Tuesday.

Good news! Lynn's dad (Luv2Dream) is out of the hospital and they have him on new medications. I'm sure she'll share soon, but she is really sick herself right now. She's been having cycles of high fevers and that bad respiratory virus for the past few days.

Please continue to send your prayers and/or pixie dust to Lynn and her dad!

Get well soon Lynn! The Ship of Fools is not the same without you!!!
