Three weeks plus away from home is a long while

I have no idea what that's even like. Never been away that long.

It is a major hoot to be in the laser room when they finish and the patients can see things they have never seen without glasses

My experience was waking up from my nice long nap afterwards and looking all the way across the room at my bookcase and being able to read the titles on the spines!

It will be nice to one day swim in a pool and not have to shut my eyes when I go under!!!

It's still blurry underwater, but put on a pair of goggles and it's clear as can be! Good luck and I hope you will be done with glasses/contacts. It didn't work that way for me, I still need them to drive and towards the end of the day, but still it was a life-changing event. Take that clause about "reducing your dependency on glasses" seriously. Mine was corrected to almost perfection, but just enough off to not be able to do an enhancement without risking overcorrection.

I checked our airline ressies today and we are now leaving from MCO twenty two minutes earlier than first scheduled. We're on a nonstop flight on American from MCO to LAX.

I am going to check more often now, as if they make a plane change, I want specific seats for our family.

Just an FYI for everyone.

Our Alaska flight into LAX changed too! Yippee!!!!We arrive at 10:30 pm instead of midnight! This is the first time I was GLAD of a flight change!

Those West Coasters who jumped on the GREAT Alaska one-way fare for $88.10 better check your flight times in case they have changed like ours did.

I hope you are a successful candidate for the surgery. I had it done last year and will never regret it. My right eye did not reach a perfect 20/20 but I hardly notice the difference. It is amazing to be able to see without contacts or glasses! If they perform the surgery, remember to follow all the doctors orders. Don't rub! Keep your eyes lubricated even when you don't THINK they are dry.

Done long trips and back to work the next day before. Sworn I'll never do it again. Guess I'm getting too old for that anymore

Obviously, I knew I was retiring before the cruise, but for the first time it dawned on me this will be the first vacation trip that I will NOT have to go back to work!!! Yea!!! Probably get stuck with the laundry!!!

In the end, we were unable to resist the lure of the extra day in the parks! Flight plans home have changed from Sunday to Monday on Air Canada. Cost increase of $80 per person, but we don't know when we'll be heading to FL again. You were right, Janet - "Ship of Fools Sisterhood will continue onto Toronto!"

I only noticed last night that the 12:15 departure has changed to 1:30 pm Flight lands at 4:15 pm - just enough time to get home, order a pizza, and get Lara to bed for school the next morning.

Me ... I may just have to take ANOTHER day off to catch up the laundry and things!

What is the date we can begin to make Excursion reservations with Disney?
Is it 90 days out now? I know the cruise has to be fully paid.
I'm just about to give up on these ATV rentals in Cabo San Lucas. They want $100 deposit, but do NOT want to do it via credit card, as they say they can't charge in advance, but want me to wire them the money. I haven't wired money in probably 30 + years, plus I have no recourse if there are any problems down the road. I'll keep trying this week, but am starting to feel that I'll just go with DCL, pay the little bit extra and use their excursions.
