Damn Chadwicks, shamefully running up the post count on this thread!

OK, it is official, I am BORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doing the last of DH's laundry just to have something to do! Yikes, this doing nothing can get on your nerves at times. Must be the blue sky tricking me into thinking it's warm outside. Plus, I really really really want a molten chocolate cake from crapplebee's, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Thanks sisters. Got the grill and the roll on went through upromise and saw we had $50 in there that I had forgotten about. My kind of day.

I just placed my Chadwicks order and can't believe that I am getting a formal dress, luggage, grill, roll-along bag, and 30% off (all for 27.99). Thank you so much for the discount codes! Hope whoever is having trouble placing the order has better luck now.

Which formal dress did you get? I got one that was in Banana....

EXACTLY! People take things way too seriously these days. Did you read about the VT Teddy Bear "scandal" (for lack of a better word)? The "Crazy for you Bear"? Well, you know what? We can't say anything anymore without fear of offending someone. Kraft is under fire by the Animal Rights groups for it's new "Road Kill" candy. GET A LIFE PEOPLE! It's not real! It's just sugar!

Happy days to all!

Did you hear about what happened in England this week, talking about offending people and taking life too seriously? Three pupils were excluded from school for a week for throwing snowballs at one another and having fun. Has this world gone mad?! :confused3

I wish I was bored  . I really should be working more, but I'm just not that motivated. I've been staring at the same drawing all week. My eyes hurt.

I have a recipe for molten chocolate cake at home....
You could click through here to my email and send it to me..................But never mind, DH won't eat it as he doesn't like sweets (except gummi bears and vanilla ice cream and blueberry pie, but he doesn't eat sweets, you know LOL) and I am not going to have the temptation.

LOL, all I can picture in my mind is  Jenny!

Are you serious??!!?? That's nuts.

It's fun to talk to yourself on the internet.... :rotfl2:

I knew you got the joke, I just wondered if anyone got why the joke was wrong.

What's Taco Bell?

(this is English humour) :rolleyes1

Okay, I really hate to post something useful, but here goes.

I was wondering when we would be changing timezones.

As near as I can tell (but still don't know about daylight savings time, so this may not be accurate)

Cabo is 1 hour later than LA
Acapuloc is 2 hours later than LA
Panama is 3 hours later than LA
Curacao is 4 hours later than LA
CC and Orlando are 3 hours later than LA

So it looks like we'll change loose one hour between each port and through the canal up until we reach curacao, and then gain an hour back betwen curacao and CC. I'm pretty sure that Mexico and CC, and US are all on daylight savings time, not sure about panama and curacao if they use it. Anyone know. I'm planing on doing more research, this is just what Icould quickly come up with.

Throwing snowballs in our school area, and at the area I used to live in is a definite grounds for expulsion. Unfortunately a normal snowball fight is no problem. Serious injuries do occur and it is akin to throwing a piece of rock, when they are frozen. Much easier to just ban it than deal with every situation and the injuries that happen.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Marsha,

What's the weekend chat topic?

Just curious.

Obviously I am bored too - got up early today and prepped the bathroom, shoveled snow and returned items to Lowe's - then put up two coats of joint compound in a silly attempt to hide the cracked plaster walls.

I am waiting for the compound to dry. I sure hope I still have energy left but it's looking doubtful. Meanwhile someone ought to clean this house!

I can send it to you at some point this weekend....I'm at "work" so I don't have my cookbooks with me. I think that the recipe makes individual cakes if that makes a difference....

I'll have to wear it to one of the clubs and  !

Yes, that's exactly what we think too. We used to have a neighbour who told his daughter off when she splashed too much water while playing in her paddling pool. Funny really, I always thought that was what you did in paddling pools. We really do live in a nanny state.

Thanks Donna!

I'm trying to figure out your info into "my" time but my brain won't do it today.

Chat topic? Hmmmmm, I think the topic should be................."Why do we have a topic when it's a free for all anyway?" Unless someone really wants to discuss something and STAY on topic! We could talk about dancing bananans, formal dresses, desserts, time zones, incects, pool temperatures, upgrade possibilites, thongs, twins, pirate names,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any number of things, although I believe these have, for the most part, been discussed to death.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I got in school suspension in the 6th grade for giving a kid a white-wash (he was my cousin and saying some not-so-nice things about me). :teeth:

I also got in school suspension the last day of the 8th grade for filling a kids plate with sand (we had a "cook out" the last day). The boy liked me and I was "flirting". He didn't care, he was done eating anyways, but I still got in trouble. :confused3

I've been very interested in a trivia chat attempt. I have Disney Trivial Pursuit cards and would be happy to type out the questions if anyone was interested in playing.

I couldn't keep score and type though.

Would anyone else be interested in a game in chat?

I think the dog that played "Eddie" on Fraser was a female too. Anyone know why they use female dogs in movies and on TV?

it sure as heck can't be because females are obedient and can be easily trained! :smooth:

I think that trivia would be fun! If we can keep people from chatting................

Great, now we are sailing with at least one known juvenile delinquent. Parents, fair warning, Jenny might give your kids some "advise" for the upcoming school year under the guise of "educational information gotten whilst cruising the Panama Canal".

Hi all,

I am from the "practice" cruise (no offernse taken) and just wanted to say thank you or the Chadwick's link. I got all the items to work - woohoo!

Marsha, just wanted to say "Hi". We met at an Illuminations dessert party you arranged back in august of 2003. Unfortunately the rain kept us in Norway, but the best part was meeting other DISers.

It sounds like you all will have a blast on this cruise. Wwish I could afford to take both. Better yet, wish I could take the first, stay in CA all summer and then cruise home!
