Hey Renee'...those look great.

We are becoming quite the group!

We got designer lime green shirts!
We got SOF Lanyards
We got our own Nametags
Some of us got fancy new cameras

You know what we need.....Hey Arlene, think you can talk your hubby into leading the fully garbed group around the ship carrying a SOF pennant on a long stick!...Just Kidding, Just kidding!!!!!!

(Note to self......sign up for Diversity Training--AGAIN!!!)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: MY hubby (Martin) will be the guy standing back, watching us for a good laugh, but pretending he doesn't know ANY of us! (Wearing NO identifying ties to THIS group!)

Around two more weeks until the mailing deadline for the cruise gift exchange. I was out at the mall this morning and picked up another item. I just need to buy a couple of more things. One package has already been mailed out.

Nope, not too late. Just PM me the first names of everyone in your party that you want to receive a name tag and your email address so I can send you the file to print.

Oh, by the way, welcome to our group.

Reneé

I've PM'd you with the info. Thanks!

Kathy--

Are you guys going to post what gifts everyone received? Either here or on the Excahnge forum at the other site?

You guys are going to make me lose my job! I had an appointment this morning and now have spent nearly an hour catching up on PMs and posts! It's not that the sponsor is a secret, I just don't want to post it here yet. Anyway, what would a live chat be without a secret involving ME?? Ok, enough of that!

We are up to 80 for the wine tasting. We are just over 30 for the e-mail updates. I'll be PMing everyone who hasn't responded tomorrow or Thursday. Kmiles, I added you whether you like it or not! (ok, I had your e-mail address in my address book already so what the heck!).

Welcome all new cruisers! Thanks Jazz for the update on the numbers (that may have helped with the sponsor).

Reneé, looks GREAT!!!

Izzinmac Bob, are you going to be at chat tonight? Would like to discuss your PM more then. Have some more thoughts! It kept me up last night!

Welcome to the group Jenny, and you are right, engineers are NOT cool. I have been telling Jazz that for the past 28 years, but he ignores me.

Based on your "young" age, maybe I can introduce my older DD to you on the cruise. She will be 22 when we sail and I am worried she will have no one to hang out with. My god, I feel old!

Denise

You know, I really shouldn't say TOO much about Engineers. I want to be one some day. Of course, I've never really thought I was cool anyway :smooth: .

I appreciate that Tracy! I am having trouble keeping up with all of the going-ons for our cruise and forgot to send you the e-mail. [Note to self: Send out check to Bob for transportation that I forgot to send out last night as I said I would!]

Ohhhhh... This sounds really official! Can't wait to hear who the sponsor is! :jumping3: Hurry up live chat!!! :jumping3: :D

Geez just about choked on my Gourmet Lean Cuisine :)

There is a separate thread on this forum that will be our "sent and received" thread. That thread is where people will post when their item is sent and where folks will post when they receive and what was in the box. I should probably bump it to the top. When I sent out the names I sent everyone the thread ID.

Is there any info about the bus to the port from the GC yet, or is it too early for it? We might be interested. What's the cost, what time are you planning to get to the port, what do I have to do? Should I PM Izzinmac? We aren't 100% that we'll do it, but once we get more info we'll decide from there.

On the transportation note, we're planning to fly JetBlue from Burlington, VT to Long Beach (with a connection at JFK). I don't know anything about Disneyland, so do they have shuttles of some sort from the airport? Can someone direct me to some info? I checked the board here for info, but there really isn't much on there from what I could see.

ALSO (I know I'm pretty long-winded). We have almost all of the menus from the 10 day cruise (we don't have the "standard" menus for the 3 restaurants and we think we're missing one - we thought we had them all, but we can only find 6). Anyway, if anyone wants any info on them I'd be happy to supply it. I'll see about scanning them. Is there a way to put PDF files up anywhere for public viewing? That's the easiest file I can work with for color scans without getting 100-200 MB files.

OK, I got a border around the pic. Only one problem. It came out nice and clear when I printed it from Print Shop, but when I save it in any other format it gets kind of blurry. So anyway, I had a thought. Since I have all this time on my hands, lol, how about if I print everyone's name tags out and snail mail them to everyone? I can even laminate them if people would like. It isn't a big deal to me since I like doing this king of stuff, and the best part is that I would do it for FREE. The only cost would be the laminating paper and I should be able to use the 8 1/2 x 11 sheets and do multiple ones so the cost wouldn't be that bad. I'm just worried that if I save them as a JPG or anything else, they won't look as good as the ones I'm looking at now.

Is this ok with everyone? I really don't mind doing this. I'm also going to check the net to see if I can buy the laminating paper in bulk to cut down on the cost.

Renee,

Thanks a bunch for offering. I for one will take you up on it. I will pm you with names and address. Let me know how much and I will send you a check. I figure you will pm me with your address when you know the cost.

A big welcome!!

On the bus, just PM me if interested. We have room and will make a stop at GC. Leaves HoJo about 9:30 on the way to GC and the port. $10 per person. Get you the details if interested!

Love to see the 10 Day Menus. Kmiles may be able to get them where we can view them

Yes, PM izzi about the bus. It's pretty inexpensive.

There are shuttles form the airports to DL, but NOTHING like MCO to WDW. Go over to the Disneyland board, mucho info there. When I flew in to John Wayne, I rented a car. But I noticed a bus that stopped at a lot of hotels. Like the Mears shuttle busses. If it was me, I would just get a cab. Might cost more, but it would get me there quicker. THe DL board is a great place to ask!

As far as the menus, you can post them at our yahoo group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BringingtheMagicHome/?yguid=97185742

or at the "Other site" which is linked at the yahoo group. PM me for more info on that group.

Thanks for the info about the bus. I'll talk to DH about it.

I figured people would want to see the menus. I'll work on getting them scanned and posted. I'll let everyone know when I get them up.

PM me if interested in either one...Mark

Also Bmwdsny is linking early dining, and EileenAmI is linking late dining, so that a few DISboard friends can eat at the same rotation and sit near each other. We have about 90 linked so far.

Mark: For the Dismeet, add Dudette #1 to 2 and 3. She was able to get on this cruise.

Marsha: I'll take 3 lanyards.

Welcome new cruisers.

Now I know why I didn't know what the passporter was. We haven't bought a guide book in years. We have been to WDW over 20 times and the cruise 6 times.

Tracy: I think I said we will go to the wine tasting. If not, there will be 2 of us. We have had small wine tasting parties on the last few cruises and we actually have brought the cheese and cracker plate from room service.

I'll have to check out the guys thread.

:cat:

enough with the engineer bashing. ChemEs rule. DH made me post that.

Jenny, you might want to reconsider the wine tasting. Neither my DH or I are wine drinkers. But we are bringing a bottle from a local Lehigh Valley winery. Recommended by our DD who does drink wine. We are just looking forward to getting together with a bunch of nut cases.
Oh and add another husband to the group standing on the sidelines pretending they don't know us. That'll be Phil.

More snow yesterday about an inch and 1/2. And we're due more this afternoon. This is what we get for having all the nice weather earlier this fall/winter.

Estelle

Renee - I will also take you up on making the name tags. I was just wondering how it needed to be done when you posted that you could do it. Just let me know where to mail the check!
