I have made a proposal to have a sponsor for our wine tasting event. If that falls through, what are everyones thoughts on 1. No food for the tasting event or 2. Contributing $5 to $10 per person to participate?

Either way is ok with us.

:Pinkbounc :cool1: Welcome, Jenny and Jamie! :cool1: :jumping3:

We're glad to have you out of "lurk-dom". There will be plenty of opportunities to meet with this crazy group onboard other than the wine-tasting party. Winotracy is putting together a monthly newsletter to keep everyone up to date. Please contact her to get on the list. I'm sure she'll be along shortly.

Well, I guess it's time to come out of lurkdom and introduce myself....
Welcome Jenny! I will add you to the list (at the very beginning of this thread) and send it off to the Official Cruise Emperor (OCE) Grumbo. It should be posted fairly soon.

Hey all! The other "extra" pictures are now posted in the gallery from Barbara and Janet.

Mark, Grumbo, Melinda, and the Sisterhood should be sure to check them out. :rotfl:

Thank you Jason for NOT putting the extra photo I sent in!

Oooh! The list! I forgot about the list! We are on late seating. I'm not 100% sure what our room number is. I think it's 6080. I know it's 60 something, LOL. I'll check when I go home to make sure and let you know.

What are the name tags? Am I too late to be included?

Man, I am off for 15 hours and come back to: another thread (men only, very scary), a sponsor for the wine tasting (very smart), more cruisers, and a new title OCE!!!!! Grumbo, I bow down to you!
jenny, I am in NH, welcome out of lurkdom!
Mark (mark&sandra) is organizing a DIS meet on Sunday. PM him if you want to go.
Izzinmak is coordinating a bus to take passengers from HoJos and GC to the port on Saturday morning
Mark is coordinating a bus to take passengers from Port Canaveral to MCO after we dock.
I am ordering Lanyards - PM me, post here or email me if you would like one or more, they are about 2 bucks each.
Tracy (winotracy) is coordinating a wine tasting and a monthly epistle, er newsletter, PM her for more info on both.
READ THE FIRST POST FOR ALL INFO!!!!!
That was my quick wrap up for the morning. I am still im my PJs. Was up at 5:15, took Max out, saw DH out the door for Cleveland, went back to bed, got up at 9, ate my special K, took Max out again, caught up on all the emails, dissing, etc. Now I am off to the shower. See you all tonight!

BTW - nothing wrong with living in NH.
Also - engineers are cool.

There really isn't anything wrong with living in NH. I just don't want to live here. I want to move somewhere :sunny: and warm (like Florida). We actually got very close to doing it last year (to the point of me talking about potential jobs and being told that if I could be there in a couple of weeks I could have a temp to permanent job down ther), but with DH in the tech field, there aren't many options for him anywhere right now. NH is just too cold and snowy for my taste (I don't ski or go out in the winter unless it's necessary).

Engineers really aren't cool. Trust me. :smooth: They might think they are, but they really aren't. :rotfl:

Thats only because "some" of them can't figure out how to turn the furnace on!!!! ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

:rotfl: That's so funny because I'm sitting here with frozen fingers because it's cold in the office. I really don't think they do know how to turn the furnace on. :rotfl:

Denise W; please ignore the above comment. It's really not applicable to this cruise...

I just wasn't sure if the pooch would have approved. Had to consider his/her position. ;)

What? Are you an engineer? What kind?
Why, I'm a cool engineer. Why do you ask? :smooth:

-Jazz

(Actually I'm currently an Engineering Manager here at Texas Instruments, working in a group that designs and builds custom equipment)

Sheesh.... Melinda has nothing on you in terms of speed of response!

At least partially correct - I seem to take a lot of crud here at work.
