OK, I got a border around the pic. Only one problem. It came out nice and clear when I printed it from Print Shop, but when I save it in any other format it gets kind of blurry. So anyway, I had a thought. Since I have all this time on my hands, lol, how about if I print everyone's name tags out and snail mail them to everyone? I can even laminate them if people would like. It isn't a big deal to me since I like doing this king of stuff, and the best part is that I would do it for FREE. The only cost would be the laminating paper and I should be able to use the 8 1/2 x 11 sheets and do multiple ones so the cost wouldn't be that bad. I'm just worried that if I save them as a JPG or anything else, they won't look as good as the ones I'm looking at now.

Is this ok with everyone? I really don't mind doing this. I'm also going to check the net to see if I can buy the laminating paper in bulk to cut down on the cost.

Reneé

That would work for me! I could send you a self-addressed stamped envelope along with the money for the laminating.

Let me know,
Darlene

Everyone,

I really don't want any money for doing this. I just want to. It won't be that expensive since I plan on buying the laminating sheets in bulk.

Thank you for the offer.

Reneé

Mark - would be delighted if you could add me, DW and DD to the Dismeet - best wishes from the Isle of Man - look forward to meeting y'all bringing home the Magic

Isle of Man >>> Part of the Norwegian Kingdom of the Hebrides until the 13th century when it was ceded to Scotland, the isle came under the British crown in 1765. Current concerns include reviving the almost extinct Manx Gaelic language.

Wow. I think Kathy knows a lot about the Isle of Man. :)

Nah she just likes riding motorcycles and her cat has no tail ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

The Island is a unique self-governing kingdom - a Crown dependency which belongs to neither the UK nor the European Union. It has its own parliament (called Tynwald), laws, traditions, culture, cuisine and postage stamps. But as a holiday island it is best known for its very agreeable and relaxed pace of life, along with a wealth of attractions and places to stay. And while other differences include the Manx language and currency (though English is the spoken tongue and English and UK currencies are accepted everywhere), there are also reassuring familiarities - such as driving on the left and road signs in English.

How big is the Isle of Man?
It is 33 miles long, 13 miles wide and covers an area of 227 square miles. More than 40% of the Island is uninhabited.

Is anyone getting special immunizations for this cruise? My daughter goes to Loma Linda University Medical Center and they have a special travel clinic. Her doctor said we should get Hepatitis A for Mexico and possibly the Yellow Fever immunization for Curacao. They are also suggesting anti malaria medicine for the Canal zone. What is everyone else doing in regards to this? The CDC website vaguely mentions something about Yellow Fever for Curacao and its neighbor Aruba. Since we are only going to each site for a day do I really need these tropical vacinations?

Hey Kathy - that's impressive - but you forgot the little people - every time we drive down to the airport (which is now on American Airlines routes via code share with BA) we have to say hello to the little people - that's good luck (and cheap travel insurance). We are protected by the gods - Mannanan throws his cloak over the island to protect it in difficult times - that's why our house can get foggy in mid summer!

No - a mix of Scots and English - and moved on to the island 2.5 years ago - and love it to death - the only problem is its one airport further coming home - when you long haul back into London Gatwick overnight and then have to wait six hours for the island connection - that's when its a drag.

The other big thing about the island is the movie business - Madonna was here about a month ago, Johnny Depp, John Malkovich, Penelope Cruz - all in the last four or five months.

Sounds like a beautiful place. Who is in your sailing party?

As of right now, there are 88 lanyards spoken for. I will be PMing those on Marks DIS meet list who have been MIA and see first why they aren't posting, second if they want a lanyard and name tag, and third to get them back in line and onto the thread! We need all the Fools to check in!

Why did I think moving from the desert to this cold place was a good idea?

'Tis indeed - but the grass is always greener - that's why we also love the States - (DD (Joy 16) is embarrassed if I say she was conceived there!

:cheer2:

So three of us in party - me (Allan), DW (Pam) and DD (who is obsessed by Brit pop bands such as McFLY, Busted {boo-hoo they've split now :guilty: } and so much more, but she also loves Ryan Cabrera and Hanson  )

DH and DW are country music mad!

So that's our biog

Allan you should never admit you like country music!

DD says you're talking sense - but when your dogs died, your house has burnt down, your wife's run off with the delivery man, then you've got to have something to fall back on! :jumping1:

Hey folk - translate for me - when you talk about GTY in relation to category of room - what does that mean? :confused3

GTY can be in any category. It means that I am guarenteed at least the category of room that I asked for, Cat 11 for example. It does not mean that I will be upgraded, although soe say that is the best way. It also means that I CAN NOT be downgraded, although I have NEVER seen ANY cruise line do that, again others claim that this has happened to them. Cruise lines use GTY as a way of controlling space more easily. They may have 7 connecting rooms, but no requests for them. By assigning GTYs it allows those rooms to be available if requested.

BTW, I have been upgraded twice with an assigned room, both times at the pier with out any warning. Which meant my bags had to be tracked down, but it was nice having a better room. And it wasn't on DCL, sorry.
