Now if you could just tell me how to do the highlights of DL and CA in the 8 hours we are going to have for it (after the early morning cross country flight). On second thought I'll do it and write it up for you. :D

Greetings!

I'm delighted to say that Dave and I, along with our new son Alexander, will be sailing with you all on this Panama Canal crossing cruise! Baby Alexander won't be a baby anymore -- he'll be just over a year old when we set sail!

We're very excited, and we'd love to join some of your meets. I see several familiar faces. :)

Of course, going on the Panama Canal cruise makes writing about all those Mexican Riviera ports for the third edition of our cruise guide that much more fun!!

Currently I cannot access any of my e-mail accounts. Sandy fixed them the day before we left and I cannot open any of them. As you can probably tell by now, she's very handy and doesn't know the meaning of the word failure.

Please send any notes via the PM (private message forum) on these boards.

Just wondering, who is getting custody of the cruise

Whoo Hoo!! Jennifer & Dave & cute little Alexander will be cruising with us (unless reading this thread scares 'em away). :cool1:

Where will you be staying the night before the cruise?? :drinking1

I am back from our weekend getaway. Man, you guys were chatty this weekend and all because of a snowstorm!
Need to go catch up now.

Welcome Jennifer and Dave and Alexander ! It will be great to finally meet you. I'm sure you'll just get a kick out of this group. I, too, am a proud owner of a couple of deluxe editions of the WDW Passporter. Absolutely love it. And I've got the cruise guide as well. Great books.

Will you be joining us in DL prior to the cruise? There is lots more fun and excitement being planned there as well. We're glad to have you along for the ride!

Mark and Sandra, I'm glad you made it home safely.

mark,
how did it go with Avis??? Was the shuttle there and all?? What did you think of it??

Boy, I am just really honored that the Jennifer and Dave and Roy Disney are cruising with us. :cheer2: :bounce: :cheer2:

Mark: Sorry to hear about your troubles, but it had to be better than being in the cold and snow.

Welcome new cruisers!

What is the Passporter?

WOW! Jennifer, Dave and Alexander! :cheer2: :cheer2:

A Passporter is only like ONLY Bestest Book to get for WDW or DCL!

Mark ~ Glad to hear you made it safely! You will definately have to make up for all on the Panama Cruise!

Welcome Jennifer and Dave! I have added you to our list and sent the update off to Nanook of the North (who has been *most unsociable* in his choice of weather to send us lately).

Welcome back Mark!

:cat:

Welcome Jennifer, Dave and Alexander! We also use our passporters all the time.

Renee I will pm you with our email address and the names either tonight or in the morning.

Marsha sending you lots of Pixie Dust for NO snow. We meanwhile just got another inch or so. Nice morning lots of Sun and then around 3PM it started snowing again. Roads not nice on the way home.

Grumbo, Phil has been the almost only male in our household since we got married in 1974. Actually there were two step daughters, a mother-in-law, a female dog, three female cats, a female canary, a new wife, and the only other male...a one legged canary. Who promptly croaked. He manages quite well even so.

Tracey I will email you with my address and the names. Thanks for doing this and let me know how much I owe you when you get the amount. I will send you a check.

Go EAGLES :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

do ya guys think there may be room for one more 4 year old on the cruise. My friend and travel partner thinks my granddaughter needs to be on this cruise.

Welcome aboard Jennifer, Dave and Alexander.

Am I the only one to read the Puerta Vallarta excursions, get worked up deciding what to do, then realize we weren't even going there ? I felt like an idiot. On the plus side...have booked a cabin for my dad and his GF through Allseas...they only had a 12, hoping to upgrade. I haven't told my dad I've done this, am hoping he will accept it as a belated retirement gift. Welcome to the newbies.

What an awesome retirement gift!!!! I think the Cat 12's are the most often upgraded, or something else may open up that you can book before the trip.

Possible Bus To MCO after cruise-Update

Are there any more people interested yet?? Our total so far is 56, and there is room for 57.

If we use Mears Transportation and manage to fill the bus (capacity 57) the final cost will be $7.04 per person. If bus leaves the Port by 10:00am or so, it should put us at Orlando Airport by 11:00am.

Also Bmwdsny is linking early dining, and EileenAmI is linking late dining, so that a few DISboard friends can eat at the same rotation and sit near each other. We have about 90 linked so far...Mark

I have made a proposal to have a sponsor for our wine tasting event. If that falls through, what are everyones thoughts on 1. No food for the tasting event or 2. Contributing $5 to $10 per person to participate?

I'm fine with it either way, Tracy. I don't know that we really need food (I never found the need to snack between meals OR order anything from Room Service while I was onboard last time) but if most people want it, I'm happy with the suggest "per person" cost.
