Robin, thanks for the Chadwicks info. I got the grill, the iron, wheeled carry on, the travel bag set, and 30% off my order. Everything came to $8.48 (including shipping). :cool1:

Robin, I had the princess one and they work great, the only drawback is the hang up button, when you are talking, your face can hit it a lot and you hang up. but you just ahve to be carefull!

"BJC" were my initials prior to marriage. :) So, ya' all be nice!!!

DL/DCA were packed today. Everyone and their mother must have decided to get out of their houses after our rain weeks and come to the parks. I usually tout our "Fantasmic" as the best, but tonight it was just not up to par. The animation was unfocused for the whole show. :( I'm going to e-mail Disney and tell them that my Ship of Fools buddies are coming in August and they'd better get things ready!!! ;)

Our dinner at the Storyteller's Cafe was delish! I/we highly recommend this restaurant to all of you coming to DL/DCA in August. Now, I just pray the crowds are good for you all or you may just leave with a sour taste in your mouths. Very rude people tonight too...dd said some tall kid socked her in the back walking, but she failed to tell me until later. Good thing I did not know, my Irish irritation was already annoyed to the max from rude people.

Still all in all, a day at Disney is better than a day anywhere else.

Nite,

Barbara (PS Dan, look for a package sometime soon! :goodvibes )

Uh, let's not call the Chat "BJC"!!! It just not a good idea!!

PS - Update on Space Mountain:

Per the CMs we spoke with, it will not be opening until November, 2005. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Maybe some magic will happen and that date will change to sometime before August.

Prayers, pixie dust, and speedy recovery to Erica (DisneyElf) who is having surgery on Tuesday. Your Ship of Fools buddies hope to see you posting again very soon!!!
:grouphug:

PS Erica, the ATMs at DL/DCA are Bank One. :)

Thanks, I'm considering them for gift purchases. I appreciate your review of them!

Yucky, rainy day in Florida! Storm is just sucking up as much moisture as it can before turning North. Good luck up there!!!

Actually, Space Maountain was closed when at least one large crack was found in the track during a routine inspection. It was schedule for maintenance, but that was scrapped for more extensive repairs. I got to ride it in 2003, it is a whole lot different than SM in WDW.

Off to drop DH at the airport so I can have 4WD while he is in San Diego, this is the first time I have been able to be the shuttle since we moved to this house.

Thanks!!!

We are looking at another possible 5 to 8 inches of snow (or more) depending where the track of the storm goes, anyway you look at it, we'll be digging out again Monday and Tuesday.

We went to do our passport applications yesterday. Printing out the forms on-line before you go is a good idea! We had to lookup some information that we didn't have off the top of our heads. Had to measure the kid's heights too! Got the photos taken at the same time. One thing that surprised me is that they take your original birth certificates and send them with the application! Make sure you're not going to need your BC for 4-6 weeks! Overall the process was pretty painless. The fees were high though!
Almost $400 for the 4 of us!

Kids are getting their Hep A shots on Tuesday. Got mine a few months ago.

It's all starting to feel more real now!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

We are hoping the storm swings way out to sea. Then we might not get anything. DD has a whole day of meetings at college on Monday from 3 til midnight. So even rain would be better. Unfortunately she drives around 40 minutes from home to school. I'm almost tempted to tell her to find a motel if it is snowing. The roads she travels are almost all two lane country roads, and most are certainly not straight. :worried:

Going to order some things from cafepress tomorrow or Tuesday. I need a new mug and that will be perfect. Besides I don't have to tell DH I did it until they arrive. :ssst:

We received a discount for sailing during Hurricane Jeanne! Our other friends (who just booked in January) are paying $1200 more than us-even with there discount! They did not pay their deposit when we all booked last May-so that is a costly mistake on their part.

Dan

We were supposed to receive the 25% voucher which I told we would get, but Disney never came through with (our cruise was shortened due to Hurricane Jeanne)....did you have the 25% voucher that you were allowed to apply to the repo cruise??? If so, then I am pursuing my 25% voucher from DCL!!!

Oh...and BTW....I finally got the Chadwick's thing to work!!!! I purchased a top and got the free 3 piece set....total bill was $19.00 and Then I purchased another top and got the free rolling suitcase....plus the 30% off!! I was very happy...wait until hubby sees more packages arriving....he will flip!!! But, hey, can't pass up a free deal!!

I thought they took your Birth Certificates for good. They definately return your birth certificates in 4-6 weeks? If so, then we will proceed with our passports when DD is on Spring Break in a few weeks!

Yes, they return your birth certificates. We applied for ours last Spring for our June, 2004 DCL. :)

I can confirm that they return your birth certificates as well. And they return your old passport if you are just renewing. The old passport will come back with holes punched in it, but it is returned to you. It cost $55 to renew a passport for an adult.

Just checking in. I'm trying to keep up with the thread to make sure that I don't miss anything but I think I already missed the name tags.
Hopefully things will calm down for me in the next couple of weeks and I can focus more on the important stuff in life like this cruise!
