Okay thanks for the information on how lovely and warm it is in Florida. The rest of us can just remember that when we get spring and not terribly hot summer they...FRY! Been there in August and bless the man who invented AC.


Could someone pm me with the directions for getting into the chat room? Tried Saturday and couldn't get there. Don't come often but would like to occasionally.

By the way we got 6 inches with a nice thin coat of ice on top. And the snow was heavy and hard to shovel. At DH and DD said it was. I had a doctors' appointment and missed the shoveling. Poor me.

OK Boys and Girls, the bullet is bitten. I have paid off the cruise and deposited the WDW after stay. Now comes the real fun, waiting!

All I have left to do is:

1. Order Lanyards (Still holding at 187)
2. PM all lanyard buyers Payment info
3. Reserve Super Shuttle from LAX to HISP
4. Loose 40 pounds.

kmiles, think of all the time you'll save not having to get transportation between parks or walking between rides!

If the wait is longer for Splash Mountain, you can generally get out of the Haunted Mansion, turn left and you are in the que for Spash! Lots more open room at DCA. We always have hoppers because they are so close it's easy to go back and forth all day long!

And just wait until you go on Indiana Jones - nothing like that at WDW!

Denine, I just love Hilton Head and the campfire ! We really enjoy that resort. Did you get a chance to go over to the beach house?

We rode our bikes to the beach house twice. Since it was cool, there wasn't any activity, but Kaleigh did enjoy playing there.

Tracy, this is fantastic. I've just spent 30 minutes zooming in and out when I should be working!

I also read Jazzman's website earlier and cried because it brought back so many fab memories. We actually sailed on the third cruising of the Magic. It was our first cruise so we had nothing to compare it to, but we thought that nothing could ever compare. We've never tried to cruise with any other line, but then, we couldn't (or don't want to) use our Vacation Points anywhere else.

Does Disney provide helmits with bike rental? Also how much is the bike rental?

The rental included: helmets, baskets, chain lock, baby seat or baby trailer.
They had a winter special that was $15 per bike for your stay.

Last time we were in California, we stayed for 3 days at the DLH, hopped over to Phoenix for a week and came back and had 3 days at the GC. We stayed in Concierge level all way round (good old Vacation Points again) and much preferred the DLH. Although it is older, we thought the rooms were larger, the pool warmer, Concierge service generally better. Ergo, we are at the DLH for 3 nights in August post-cruise. From the way the Disboards are going, we are the only ones there!

Pam, our family loves the DL Hotel too! We are local (20 minutes away), so this is the only hotel our family has stayed at just for the fun of it. Dh and I plan to spend some time at the GC just the two of us for a get-away weekend. That being said, the DL Hotel IMHO is "THE" hotel of DL/DCA. To our family, it has the true magic of Disney. Watching the fireworks from the Sierra Tower - DTD view is the most magical of experiences! Drinking Bloody Mary's by the Neverland Pool as the kids swim is quite wonderful too!

Last night, to celebrate the six month wait, Victoria and I watched the DisneyLand Sing along Songs tape. I explained to her that while we use this VHS tape pre-Disney we are going to the ACTUAL DisneyLAND this was filmed in! How exciting.

Anywho, they showed the rope drop for DL and announced, "Welcome to Magic Kingdom Disneyland"

Thought that was interesting given the recent Kingdom to Kingdom discussion.
