Even if we do know the schedule for the May cruisers it will certainly be different for us. I really want to know WAY ahead of time how many formal nights we'll have so I can bring the proper attire. Same goes for semi-formal. Anyone know when we'll at least find out how many formal nights there will be?

I just e-mailed Disney to find out when they'll have that info.

Yeah that IS scary isn't it.
I'm still not sure if I am going to do the REAS or not.
Sounds like there will be lots of times available over a 14 day period. Anyone else doing REAS?

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo, why do the REAS where there are JGE services!!????? Don't you want to use your own services?????

Thanks for the information Grumbo. Had a great time in Florida. Do you know we actually saw Melinda (BMWdsny) at MVMCP but luckily was able to hide. She had a laptop in one hand and a turkey leg in the other and looked like she was loaded for bear. Anyway let me...... rest deleted

Oh yeah, that is SOOO me to walk around with a turkey leg in my hand!!!! :crazy2:

I posted a while back when i was on the cruise on how many formal evening we will have for the Repo cruise, but i forgot what the answer was..I think it was at least 3 or 4. Anyone else rmemeber?? Sorry, i just rememeber the diminsion of the stateroom door really well!!!!

Doesn't matter how many for me :)
One black suit with 3 dress shirts and I can get the shirts laundered and suit cleaned if need be and a couple of ties. Good for umpteen formal/semi formal evenings. :)
As for my wife well I ain't even going there :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Just so you know...your suit and dress shirts will not be part of the "Sisterhood Laundry services" !! It will be chucked overboard instead along with your dirty underwears!!!!

Hi Melinda  Your post from the Wonder said there would be 4 formal nights. (That's probably a mix of formal/semi-formal, right????) I hate to think how many dresses (and SHOES) that translates to! :earseek:

Arlene

Probably two formal and two semi-formal. Or, perhaps, they'll have one formal, two semi-formal, and one true black tie dinner.

Just so you know the only ones touching my suit and undies will be Disney. Worth it to have them done and DW doesn't have to hang around the washing machines, but as I've noted before she LOVES washing. (NO I'm NOT kidding ). Want her to relax and enjoy this cruise too. Her job is stressful and she can wait on me from September on. For that two weeks we're equals!!!!

Rest of the time she's superior ;) ::yes::

Cheers,
Grumbo

Well my hubby will wear a tux on formal night either way. Men are so lucky-- one suit, one tux and a few shirts and they're good for a number of cruises. We ladies have a lot more to shop for.

Oh listen to yourself!!!
Since your DW is SUPERIOR, all year around that is,,,than for Goodness sake, spare her and get her the REAS package instead of the pathetic JGE package!! Isn't she worth it????

Oh, Poor Disney crew that even have to touch your clothes!!! They will be chucking your clothes overboard, beleive me!!

Probably two formal and two semi-formal. Or, perhaps, they'll have one formal, two semi-formal, and one true black tie dinner.
Thanks Arlene!! You have a better memory than i do....
Andy, the asst. cruise Director, whom i spoke with, didn't elaborate...but it sounds good to me. Oh, all those clothes we gotta bring...I just hoped the airlines does not imposed more fees for excess baggage weight!! (sigh)

And for the tips...instead of tips, why don't we all pitch in a therapy sessions for them..they gonna need it after this cruise!!!

Also, i am going to call DCL this week regarding Linking Dining resessies. I want to talk with them first before i do anything...will keep you udate on that.

Also, i am proud to say that i have a JOB!!!! :cheer2: i will be starting right after New Years working for the NJ public school M-F in the mornings. Going tomorrow morning to get oriented. So i won't be posting as much and i cannot, will not, stay up late anymore!!!! I gotta look good for work now!!! at least look alive! LOL!!!
Gotta earn $$ for the cruise to help out the finances!! Not much, but something!! Ain't my Bob HAPPY!!!

Dreams Unlimited, owner of this bulletin board just gave a big sigh of relief! There biggest bandwidth hog will not be posting during the daytime.
Oh god I just checked with the local board of education. Melinda is teaching an "Internet for Seniors" class in the Adult education section. Little Melinda clones will be invading the DIS!!!!!! :guilty:

Heaven help us.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR FOOLS TAKING FRONTIER AIRLINES FROM PHILADELPHIA TO LOS ANGELES.

I was curious to see how much, if any, our flights had gone up in price since we all booked back in the fall. Guess what! Our non-stop flight leaving at 9:10PM is now leaving at 6:10PM and is stopping in Denver, where we will need to change planes. We will be arriving at 10:30PM instead of 12:30AM. I called them because I could not even find our original flight as an option on their site and the lady confirmed that they no longer offer that flight. I chose that flight because it was non stop and didn't want to change planes with my elderly mother. So much for planning ahead.

Melinda - Congratulations on the new job!

We are heading out. Everyone have a great Christmas and please try to behave while I'm gone! LOL!!!

Paul

NYGiant Rules same thing happened to me. I booked with WestJet direct to L.A. and within the week of booking the non stop flight ended up going via Calgary!!! Stopover of 3 or 4 hours, and end up getting there really late.
They were excellent though. Refunded my money immediately, and I ended up getting a non stop flight with Air Canada that earlier had been much more expensive for a cheaper price. PLUS I can reserve my seats in advance which I couldn't before. To me that was a Godsend. I loathe fighting at a check in trying to get seats together and worrying about where we'll end up on the plane.
Hopefully you'll find something soon that works for you.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Formal Nites may present a unique problem for the Sisterhood. Maybe what we need to do is set up some kind of shipping/receiving for the East coast to the West coast. Once we find out how many formal/semi-formal nites we will have, and can then determine the amount of shoes and dresses needed. If this is going to result in excessive baggage, maybe we can all work together so that the East can ship their items to the West and we will bring to you the night before while you are at your hotel. Since many West Coasters are spending the night at either Hojos or HISP, Friday, it should not be too bad to try and co-ordinate. Of course, this assumes a reasonable sized box, not a refridgerator size box. I know my sex, and we can get a little excessive when it comes to shoes and ourfits. If you ship to West Coast, we can confirm delivery, get it to you the night before and then when you board, you can send it out for pressing. Shipping has got to be cheaper than excess baggage charges. Also, since the box will be on the boat, when it is time to go home, you can either bring it with you or ship it home.....

Just a thought.... :flower1:
