Thanks to all those who have sent suggestions to both Grumbo and Jazzman. JGE has read them all and is prepared to act on another important concern of their fellow cruisers.

JGE is proud to announce SHOPPING IN PARADISE "commando style"

With the shortened time we have to spend in each Port, JGE has decided to help their customers utilize their time to the fullest.

Grumbo and Jazzman have negotiated great rates with select shops along our itinerary to further help stretch your already squeezed dollars!

JGE will sell 50% off coupons to select shops. After deciding on an item, simply put it into your bag and proceed, no run, to your next shopping excursion. JGE will handle all financial transactions AFTER you have left. This will allow you more time to shop instead of waiting for a salesperson to wrap your purchase or bring you change. JGE just asks you to leave the pricetags on until you return to the ship so that they can total up your purchases and collect their 50%.

Arlene, you read my mind!!! Same for me!!!!

Sounds like it is more gear for the men since it is in "commando style" LOL!

Oh my gosh!! I was just checking out the Flights now to make sure eveything is set for my Disney trip in 2 weeks and i happened to glance at my flight for the CA trip next year and it is now $450.20 for R/T from JFK-Lax & MCO- EWR where i paid only $230.00 a few weeks ago!!! :earseek: It has doubled!!!

Thank you all for getting me to move and get the flights set!!:grouphug: :grouphug: You saved my family $$$$$!!

Melinda . . .

I jumped online the day US Air opened their pricing for our return flight on September 3rd. I was able to get the Noon flight (never got that before) at $79 one way to Phila each. I checked it out two weeks ago and the one-way fair is now $255/pp! It tripled. I think the airlines got wind of the cruise ship returning and knew we'd all need flights out! I'd be sick if I had to pay more than $700 for a one-way flight for three!

Just curious, does anyone know if there has been any movement on the wait list for this cruise?? Each time I call DCL Res, I get a whole different story. We have cruised the 7 day for the past three years, and have reservations for the next two already in place. Unfortunately, when the 14 days came out, I was out to lunch and missed the boat. Also, I asked them to put me on the wait list for ANY level, but they said they could only put me down for one...... Any thoughts??? Of course none of YOU will be cancelling, but I haven't been following this thread, and am just wondering if you have seen any one drop reservations. Thanks.

Hey Disney Dudette, please clarify. Do you mean the Dis meet or the bus back to MCO?...Mark

{We want to be there
Count Disney Dudette #2 & #3 in!}

jweiss, actually we have had several cancellations from this group. And people have been given their waitlist rooms, a few weeks ago there was at least one poster reporting. If you are waitlisted it is very possible you will get called at the 60 day mark when all $ have to be paid. There will no doubt be people who will have to cancel then for any number of reasons.

Mark, get a crystall ball! "Hey Disney Dudette, please clarify. Do you mean the Dis meet or the bus back to MCO?...Mark

Melinda...you have to join us for Cruisoberfest IV in 10-14-06...we would have a blast.....just book the cruise while on board (just don't tell Bob...he'll never know....opps...I forgot, he posts here too...only kidding Bob)--you will get a 10% early booking plus a $200.00 shipboard credit and then if you are an AAA member, you can switch the booking to them for an extra $150.00 shipboard credit plus 10% off in the shops. I just switched mine to AAA today. Now I just have to figure on how to break it to DD's teachers--they were not happy when we took her out of school this past October (she is a freshman in the honors program and she did have a ton of stuff to make up!) I think that we already have close to 100 new and repeat cruisers signed up. This past October we had over 140 people some who cruised together before and some who were new...everyone wore the same kind of shirts at check in plus lanyards and we ran into someone everywhere we went!! Piglet33 and winotracy are both signed up !!

Marsha...we will be in NH the weekend of December 18th for cookie night...maybe we could do dinner and I will introduce you to other NH cruisers who live in Henniker!! I will call you as we get closer to the date. Mary Jo

MaryJo, does that mean you're definitely (or at least most likely) still coming on Cruisetoberfest IV? It also sounds like we'll be seeing you at Cookie Night! Can't wait!

Oh, can I do cookies too? Since I moved, I am closer to Hennniker, we will be going over that way after Thanksgiving with the MIL for a Christmas Craft Fair in Bradford. Oh boy a Dis meet this weekend in Philly and now one in NH, how lucky am I?

Glad to see you are still able to cruise. I wish you didn't have to cancel this one. If Sarah's teachers don't like that she is going to miss school, oh well. She is smart, she can make up the work. Besides, she isn't going to be around for family vacations forever, and family comes first. When she leaves the nest, will you adopt me?

First MickeyFan1, then Denine, and now Disney Dudettes. You know I think I'm starting to "get it". All these years I thought women were indecisive. It turns out you're just being proactive. Since none of you really ever "say" what you mean, women have learned to not make any decisions; because if you did we'd realize that you have no idea what woman say either. By simply all playing the same game you've managed to convince an entire gender that we just don't understand you. A whole world has opened up before me!! I know, I'll write a book with my new findings. Maybe JGE would publish it?? How's this for a working title? "Why get in trouble for saying what you mean, when you can be vague and safe" or "Acknowledge my problem, don't fix it"...Mark

You know it's gonna be one of those weeks when:

An 8-year-old girl went to her dad, who was working in the yard and asked
him, "Daddy, what is sex?"
The father was surprised that she would ask such a question, but
decided that if she was old enough to ask the question, then she was old
enough to get a straight answer.
Steeling himself to leave nothing out, he proceeded to tell her all about human
reproduction and the joys and responsibilities of intercourse.
When he finished explaining, the little girl was looking at him with her mouth hanging open, eyes wide in amazement.
Seeing the look on her face, the father asked her, "Why did you ask this question, honey?"
The little girl replied, "Mom says that dinner will be ready in just a couple of secs."

Mark, I will be right to the point. We all love you! Maybe not lhe way your wife does, but it's still love. I don't know if JGE will do the book thing, but I am sure they could set up a booth for you on board, I'll bring my crystal ball and you can do readings. I do need to get 79% of the price, Grumbo can figure out the rest of the cut with you and Jazz. And my 79% is American, no tyre money for me.

I booked through Dreams Unlimited first day, and recently asked them to consider an upgrade for me, there was some movement, and after a while I was offered an upgrade.

I had to give a preference, but I had said CAT 4 first, but CAT 5/6 ok, Dreams took that information. They kept trying and I was succesful.

All I could recommend is as well as DCL waitlist, contact Dreams and ask them, and tell them you will book through them if DCL comes up. I think from there work with me they will keep trying, and hopfully you will be in the right place at the right time.

Again trying about 90 days and 60 days could be fruitful.

Ok Folks, we have a new name for this Early dining seating for us...
It is EAYOR, pronounced EEYORE...Ya know, That Disney Donkey!!

It stands for "Eat at your Own Risk"!!! Our fool friend, Lynn, from Luv2Dream came up with that!!! Thank you Lynn, very good!!! You are to have a drink one night, on me!!!!

So we will walk into the resturant each night and instead of stating our name, we will say we are the EAYOR group!!

Thanks and yes Mark, this is our first time staying at a Universal resort, so we’re looking forward to the FOTL pass. Glad it is so successful - that must have been great with your kids! It will be good for us to use on that holiday weekend.

Thanks Andrew for the food tips! We want to do Margaritaville and may just use the concierge level and snack the rest of the time, as we’ll only be there for one night with our schedule. Wish we could stay longer!

Yes Melinda, we have a non-smoking room requested but at times have not received one due to availability and this is Labor Day weekend. I’m going to contact the concierge prior and fax them a copy of my son’s prescription for his inhaler. Perhaps that will make it a firm non-smoking room. I agree…no WDW this trip…WAAHH! Guess we’ll just have to return again because of this fact though, lol!

Hey girlfriend Arlene, really sorry to hear about your asthma and allergies…but am glad you will be smoke-free with us! Your Sunday sounds like it was lots of fun with your family, bet my Marissa will enjoy your Lara even though Mari is two years older. They sound like they have similar personality styles. :) Also, don’t give up your white Christmas'! We do not even know what that is save for a trip the day after once to visit family in Kentucky.

Having a very nice day as my kids are off for Veteran’s Day. As I only work Monday through Wednesday, this is my usual day off(though “moms” are always working!) Nice not to run around this a.m. Gonna go sit by the fireplace and just gel!

Happy Veteran’s Day everyone!!!

Oh, Melinda, you are TOOOOO kind.. Yes, the whole dining room will see we are all just a bunch of a##es !!!!!! Oh gosh, don't get me going.........LOL!!!!!
