Yeah that right, while bob sings "Hi Ho... off to work i go", I whistle while I work!!! :rolleyes1

O.K., now that I've shown you the money; Am I In???

The way the U.S. dollar is doing I want Canadian Tire money. None of those greenbacks!!!! ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

We just booked our next 2 vacations before this cruise. We are going to Hilton Head for a few days in February and WDW in June to overlap our vacation with some friends.

Snow: I hate it! We also have it on the ground for most of the winter. I hope it is not bad this year.

JAZZ/GRUMBO ENTERPRISES LAUNCHES ONBOARD GRATUITY HANDLING SERVICE

November 9, 2004 1:45PM EST

Jazz/Grumbo Enterprises, Inc. is pleased to announce the latest addition to their ongoing series of services for the cost-conscious cruiser.

Service Compliments Afloat Manager (herein referred to as SCAM) will take the hassle out of dealing with tips for the various service attendants. At no cost to the cruiser, JGE will handle the distribution of all gratuities, freeing the user to more fully enjoy those precious last minutes.

According to the Canadian Headquarters, a cruiser can sign up for SCAM by sending JGE an amount equal to the number of people in their party multiplied by the standard $152 suggested tip (feel free to add or subtract based on the level of service you experience). Payment forms accepted are gold bullion, cashiers’ cheques from the First National Bank of Zimbabwe, or wired deposits to one of several Swiss bank accounts owned by the company.

At that point you are free to experience the rest of the cruise without filling out envelopes, doing complicated math, or chasing down attendants. Enjoy your cruise while JGE does the work. Note that there is *no charge* for this service - every nickel you pay will be redistributed in gratuities. Shortly before the cruise concludes, your tips will be delivered in an equivalent amount (although possibly in an alternate currency form) to your happy stewards and waiters.

Quick SERIOUS question for Melinda and Bob (Izzinmac)
As you're both going on the Wonder and Magic respecitively in the next while can you find out HOW we're going to be able to get everyone on the same dining rotation? Is it possible? Will you require reservation numbers to accomplish this? I know to link my group up with Jazzman I needed Jazz and Denise's ressie number (and despite the temptation I didn't cancel one of their cabins and put them all into a Category 11) to accomplish the linking.
Also IF we can get everyone on the same rotation is it possible to have tables adjacent and once again if so how do we do this? Much easier when we have members of our cruise that will be on the ship and can ask the staff these questions first hand.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo, Seriously, do you think that DCL will even allow us the same room let alone have the same dining rotation!

I'm sure they have already "Black Listed" some of us so to keep each other away from each other!

For Example ~ Melinda and Mark!LOL

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Heck, we'll be lucky if they don't cancel the cruise just to keep us away!

Jazz and I along with our families will not be able to join you all on the last evening for supper as we will be dining in our cabins to stuff the envelopes for the cruise staff. If serving staff ask cover for us.
Now IF by chance you see us at the front of the line to get off the ship before anyone realizes, uh I mean before the rush we are merely making sure JGE Transportation is all set for your seamless travel problems to WDW, MCO or Gatorworld.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Well - your DH has probably come to the same conclusion as I have - becoming a DVC member is the acceptance of the evitable that Disney vacations will never end with crazy DW!!

My DW brings my kids along on Disney vacations as a cover! She is really dragging them along - whether they love it or not!

Yes, she is on the Wonder leaving the 28th and we are on the Magic leaving the 27th. I'll do our best to see if it is possible and how to pull it off. My thinking is if I talk to the Dining Officer he/she would be able to give us some insight. Realistically, I would estimate we would end up with about 100 people both early and late that would be interested. If anyone has thoughts on whether that is high or low, let me know.

From my experience last year with a family group of 22, we sat together by linking our reservation #s. We did find out that the max one set of servers is allowed to handle is 18 people. In our case 18 of us were in one area at three tables with the same servers, and 4 were in the adjacent section with different servers. That slightly complicated moving around from table to table each night, especially for the 4 who were in a different section.

Be interesting to see how nortorious our group is, and if our reputation preceeds us.

Yes, same here!! I will personally talk to the Head Dining manager...In fact, i will bring the list with me...But again, i am not requesting for us to SIT TOGETHER in one big long table, or even a couple of tables together, or having the same servers, but get all of us in same dining rotation with our own tables with whoever is the server, and possibly be in the same area of the restaurant...
Like for example, Trition/Lumiers resturant, have all of us on the left side of the restaurant but with our own tables....Are you getting it?? I mean, i know i have English problem, like Grumbo said, and i am trying my best to write the PROPER English way!!!
Besides, I honestly don't know if i can take sitting at a BIG LONG TABLE with you people every single night!!! :earseek:
So are you getting my drift??? Er, my English???

Hey Melinda the English as a second language lessons are paying off. Very good! ;)
No there is no way they would put you all at one table, and as I said there are already 11 at our table. The servers would lose it if they had too many people to wait on.
We can sit across the room and I'll talk to you from there anyway Melinda ;) I'll mouth my words and you can read my lips. Hopefully that is before the first bottle of wine cus after that it will definitely be a challenge to understand, even if you're beside me :hyper:
Whatever you can find out though is great.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I totally understand what you're saying. I agree that it will be nice to have the people that have early dinner have the same rotation (hopefully). If not, then oh well, you tried.

Thanks for doing this.

I don't think i would want to read your lips while you eating God's knows what!!!! I want to enjoy my dinner, ya know!!!!

LOL!! ;)

Thank you Renee, It is assuring to know that there are some nice people cruising aboard!!:D

I think we would like to have the same rotation and be seated in the same general area so that we can circulate easily in our group. There is going to be some work involved for DCL to do this, but hopefully since it is for two weeks they will work with us.

Are there any more people interested yet?? Our total so far is 36, and there is room for 57.

If we use Mears Transportation and manage to fill the bus (capacity 57) the final cost will be $7.04 per person. If bus leaves the Port by 10:00am or so, it should put us at Orlando Airport by 11:00am.
