I hope she has a blast.

LeiLani, we wish Alyssa a great Seaworld camp, wow, this certainly is something you will never forget. :cheer2:

I am done with packing, 3 suitcases, 1 of it is 1/2 filled with fishextenders, I hope I do not have to open it at customs. I hope I did not forget anything important. But hey, we are flying to Florida, Shopping Malls, we are coming. My husbands stack was the smallest, he said, why should I bring any clothes at all .

See you soon, :grouphug:, hope to write again real soon and counting the days till we all see you.

Take care and knuddel from the Swiss Family Andrea, Urs and Alena

I just packed the Fish Extender gifts away and some of the "glow" sticks got activated. Darnit!

Thanks guys. I know she will have a great time. She is so excited!

Andrea - not sure when you guys are leaving, but safe travels. Keep us posted on the shopping progress.:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about the glow sticks Melissa. I had this same problem at Christmas. I finally decided to leave the glow sticks in the box and put them in the gift bags I was giving out once on the ship. Problem was they didn't fit in the gift bags.:confused3 I finally gave up on them and Alyssa handed them out to the teens.:upsidedow

Have a great trip! I really really love shopping!! I am laughing at the thought of customs going through your chocolate! I hope you can check in with us from your pre-cruise vacation!

We just got back from camping. DH and DS12 made it back safe and sound (barely) from their Grand Canyon adventure. They actually hiked down a side canyon (I think) to the Havasupai reservation and Havasupai falls which is beautiful. Anyhow, they had quite an adventure which involved one of the cars in their group getting totalled when it hit a cow. Fortunately the scout leader and 4 13-year-old boys in that car had not a scratch on them. The car DH and DS were in was right in front of them and barely missed the cow. They kept telling me too many scary and dangerous details of the whole trip so I had to tell them "Please, what happens at scout camp needs to stay at scout camp!" :scared1: They got to sleep half a night in their own beds and leave the next day for camping with the family. Fortunately that was just 30 minutes from home. Now I can start thinking about doing the laundry that needs to be done before I can think about packing! I feel so last minute!

Glad your DH and DS made it back safely. It sounds like they had quite the adventure.

I know what you mean. I'm glad I don't see the pictures until later after they return. Some pretty scary scout adventure out there, but they make for great memories. Glad everyone came back healthy.

We have guests until next Tues. We leave on Thursday. I hope we get everything packed and done in time. Still haven't made my door signs.

Ok every one needs to start to sprinkle some positive weather pixie dust. Rain rain go away! We leave wed and rain rain rain is the forecast:mad:

Here's some pixie dust for ya! Hoping to keep the rain away!

I finally quit looking at the weather in Orlando. It was never correct. I would watch it a few weeks before and it would show sunny with no rain, or rainy every day, or cold, and when we got down there it would do the total opposite. So now I just wait until we get there and go with the flow.

The mid-night showing of Harry Potter was awesome! I got up there about 7pm and we got home around 3am.

We really enjoyed the movie!

We loved it too! There were some parts that were changed from the book that we thought would have been better if they just filmed it as it was written, but overall, it was a great end to a great series!

Sea World camp sounds so fun! I'd love to hear about what she does there!

Hmmm. I'm guessing that is part of your FE gifts? My kids LOVE those things, by the way.

I finally got started on the FE. I am acutally taking Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from work to get shopping and FE done. DD Jennifer is now done with her class, so she is having a great time helping me.

I hope she has a great time! That sounds amazing.

I know! DH, DS and DD will come home from their choir camp in the afternoon of July 31, then we have an 8:30 am flight on August 1 to Orlando! I am stressing already about having to do all their laundry from the choir camp, then turn around and repack it! I have nightmares about forgetting something!

Orlando weather always has an afternoon thunderstorm that blows through in about 30 to 40 minutes, and then it cools off. Just find someplace to hang out during the rain, and you'll be fine! Have a great time!

Hey, Leilani! How are you surviving the heat? I told Jennifer - this is just like Orlando in August! :scared:

That's what I keep telling myself. :goodvibes At least it's getting me ready for my week at Disney. It is just way to hot out though. I think my air conditioner has been running all day.

Just got off the phone with Alyssa and she is having a great time. She said they get to do more this year since she is in the high school group so she is excited about that. They slept in the dolphin enclosure last night and they got to help out with the penguins today. They usually get to talk to at least one of the trainers during the week and last year her group got to talk to one of the sea lion trainers. Today, to Alyssa's utter delight, they got to talk to one of the killer whale trainers. She was in seventh heaven!:thumbsup2

It sounds like she is having a great time and learning a lot by being able to talk with the trainers and learn directly from them. What a great experience and opportunity.

Big weekend of packing and last minute prep coming up, so excited -the good part is that I am in all day meetings this week which helps time fly (unlike a certain Dis'er named Scooter who is STILL working on his tan at the beach.....)

Checked the 10 day weather, looks like typical July Florida weather -at least it's not going to be 100+... they are calling for 115 degrees with heat index this Friday here in Maryland.....yuck, yuck and yuck....

Thanks Doug. Yeah she is having a great time.

Good luck with all your packing. That's what I am going to be doing this weekend too. I need to get the car cleaned out after I get back from Minneapolis and then I can start getting it ready.

Yeah, it looks like our heatwave is moving your way. I was telling DD in Virginia to be ready for it. It was 102 (with a heat index of 118) here in Iowa yesterday. HOT and STICKY! Gonna be hot again today and then it looks like it is going to cool down to upper 80's.

I'll be flying to Florida!

3 days at West Palm Beach - 3 days at Beach Club - then the ship. After that one secret-surprise day at Bay Lake Towers.

Everyone is sooo busy!

Doug,
We'll have to exchange my work email to hook Mackenzie and your daughter up. I'll be bringing blackberry so my work email will be my primary communication....

LeiLani,
I'm sooo jealous. I would love to see pictures.

Yep tan is coming along nicely:cool1: Doing anti 12 hour flu dance as it has gone through 2 kids and several on the beach.:scared1: Have to keep it away from ds11 as when he gets it it is bad! Last day on beach. Dw has to work and I have to cut my sports med budget in half so will be in office end of the week coachycp so am working a bit. Ok time to ride some waves.

Stress! My housesitter/dogsitter just bailed on me for the last half of the trip. My SIL agreed to do it months ago but now all of a sudden she has to stay home the last few days to handfeed her ancient persian cat every 3 hours because her DH has to go out of town. :confused3 Her DH that has been unemployed for over 2 years, so not sure why he has a sudden urgent trip. I'll spare you the boring details (other family out of town for a wedding, neighbor kids that dogsit at camp etc.) I have some slight hope of a neice and her DH coming up to stay. They live and work in a town 45 minutes away but my neice takes some classes in my town. It might work out, but that means I need to get the mountain of laundry dealt with so they can stay in our room. Not to mention finding a place for DD13 to stay when she gets back from camp on Friday. She was just going to come home and stay with her aunt at our house. :headache::headache::headache: Can I just say that I really need a vacation???
