My DH and I booked this cruise last weekend. It is our 2nd Disney Cruise, and the first for our kids (we were kidless last time we cruised). We have a DS (age 3 1/2 and our DD will be 20 months when we sail.) We are traveling with my sister, my two nieces (age 4 and 14), and a friend of my sister's. Her DH is unable to join us because he has to work.

I am so excited for this trip. We would love to connect with anyone who has kids of similar age.

They are going to try and connect thru the Disboards before boarding the ship so they "know" someone when they get there. emilyann I just saw that someone posted the Navigators for the 1st 4 days...he can't find the 5th day. I was going to take a peek but I decided I want to be surprised..we like going thru the Navigator the night before and deciding what we want to do.

Do we leave gifts on 1 day or certain days and are the gifts for each person, each family? I'm open to just about anything...I'm just wondering so I can start preparing.

dkmjgal - We've never done fish extenders either, but I let my daughter (12) plan it. She came up with 1 cabin gift, 1 gift for each kid & 1 gift for each adult. We got a really good deal on the kids & adults gifts, so all we have to do is start making the cabin gifts.

BTW, where in Jersey are you from? We're in Burlington County.

As far as the rules go, it's totally up to each individual as far as I'm concerned. In the past, I've seen people give something small each day. I've seen people give one item only. I've seen people give items geared to the age of the cruiser. So, I guess I'm saying that there are really no rules - as far as I'm concerned. We don't have a big group, so if everyone gives one item on the first day, then the rest of the trip will be dull. So, if you are only planning one item, you may want to wait a few days.

We are planning a couple of small things to space out over the cruise.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

I'm pouring over every detail of the navigators. You would think I was cramming for a test. But I agree that being surprised is really nice. I just can't do it. I'm all about instant gratification

On our last cruise, my husband wouldn't even look at pictures online. He probably never peeked at his Christmas presents when he was a kid, either.

Still no room #. I've been checking every day. Should be soon.

Hi! My family will be joining you on this cruise!!!

It will be me (Cyndi), DH (Scott) and DS13 (Ben). This is our 3rd cruise.

We'd love to do the FE's--it will be our first time. I don't have our exact room # but I'll get it when DH comes back from a business trip. We are on deck 8, cat 3 near the mid-ship elevators.

We just booked the Aug. 22nd 4-night as a B2B with this cruise. Anyone else doing B2B?

DS is looking forward to the teen club. I sure hope they haven't changed it to the tween area for 13 year olds. He'll be disappointed. DS loves baseball and playing ping pong on the boat. Hopefully he will meet some other kids his age at the Dis Meet.
