Hi! My family will be joining you on this cruise!!!

It will be me (Cyndi), DH (Scott) and DS13 (Ben). This is our 3rd cruise.

We'd love to do the FE's--it will be our first time. I don't have our exact room # but I'll get it when DH comes back from a business trip. We are on deck 8, cat 3 near the mid-ship elevators.

We just booked the Aug. 22nd 4-night as a B2B with this cruise. Anyone else doing B2B?

DS is looking forward to the teen club. I sure hope they haven't changed it to the tween area for 13 year olds. He'll be disappointed. DS loves baseball and playing ping pong on the boat. Hopefully he will meet some other kids his age at the Dis Meet.

My DH and I booked this cruise last weekend. It is our 2nd Disney Cruise, and the first for our kids (we were kidless last time we cruised). We have a DS (age 3 1/2 and our DD will be 20 months when we sail.) We are traveling with my sister, my two nieces (age 4 and 14), and a friend of my sister's. Her DH is unable to join us because he has to work.

I am so excited for this trip. We would love to connect with anyone who has kids of similar age.

dkmjgal I'm so sorry I missed this post until today! I'll talk to my daughter and see if I can get her to do this. She tends to be really shy but I know she'd have much more fun if she "knew" some of the girls before the cruise. Thanks!

MY 14 yo is a bit on the shy side as well. When we cruised in 2007 I did a small craft project for the girls around her age (a mini scrapbook) and that really helped her get aquainted. Now that she's older I don't think the scrapbook would have as much appeal but I'd really like her to at least have a familiar face when she goes to the club (plus I just don't like the idea of a 14 yo girl wandering around by herself, Disney cruise or not). I'd like to spend a little time at the Quiet Cove pool and would like to know that she's not just sitting in the cabin.

Suz D My DD and BigMama's DD have been sending private messages to each other thru my account. If you want I can have my daughter send an "introducing myself to you" message to your daughter. My daughter is pretty shy so she loves the idea of "knowing" a couple of girls before getting on board. I think it's great for them also.

It looks like we are going to have a pretty good size group...should be fun!

You should get your room numbers several weeks before the cruise. If you don't, stop by my room and leave a note with your room number. I will make sure everyone participating gets an update.

As far as the rules go, it's totally up to each individual. In the past, I've seen people give something small each day. I've seen people give one item only. I've seen people give items geared to the age of the cruiser. So, I guess I'm saying that there are really no rules - as far as I'm concerned. We don't have a big group, so if everyone gives one item on the first day, then the rest of the trip will be dull. So, if you are only planning one item, you may want to wait a few days.

We are planning a couple of small things to space out over the cruise.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

Change of plans...in a good way!

So, DH told his DCousin about the cruise and now he and his family are going to join us!!! DH and DCousin used to spend summers together in Savannah when they were kids. Both men are so excited (you'd think they are still kids)!

And the exciting part for me is that we upgraded to the Roy O. Disney suite to accomodate both families!!! It is a dream come true for me! I am happy to give anyone a tour of the room. Just let me know.

So the new family consists of:

They live in Savannah and this will be their first cruise. I'm still easing them into everything and haven't quite explained the FE's yet but DH thinks they will be up for it.

I know that I am excited. I must look at least 5 times everyday to see if my room has been assigned yet.

I am also not so patiently waiting for my FE to arrive as well--I only ordered it late last week, but waiting is very difficult.

We are staying there as well. We get in late. I have read reviews on trip advisor that most people give good to great reviews. It appears to be clean and newly remodeled. Before the remodel there were LOTS of bad reviews...nice to see that change before our stay. I'm sure you know this, but just call the hotel when you get in and they have a shuttle to pick you up and take you there..any time. See ya in a little over a month!

We booked Country Inn and Suites in Cape Canaveral using Priceline. I got it for $75 which is a bargain considering we can leave our car there and not pay the $15 day parking fee. It's like getting the room for free.

The rate includes free breakfast and it's located minutes from the port. They even have rooms that overlook the port. Shuttle service is also included.

Just another option in case anyone still looking for a room.
