Well folks, the stomach virus has gotten a hold of me so I have spent my day in bed and now I am on the couch surfing the web, getting my Disney fix. I came across this article by DCL Blogger Jonathan Frontado re: Castaway Cay. http://www.facebook-disneycruiseline.com/photos/PostBlog3-12-10A.htm

Hi Guys,

Dh and myself have jumped ship and are now sailing on this cruise

Im sooooooo excited to see the dream - after the terrible winter we have just had I needed some sun to look forward to so weve changed Alaska for for the Dream

Its just the two of us. (but we are big kids really)

We are DVC owners (BWV & SSR) from the UK

I cant wait to ride the duck LOLx

Ive not read all of this thread (yet) so it would be great if you could fill me in the highlights.

I'm so not looking forward to all the extra $$ these trips are going to cost us. As soon as our kids are old enough to get jobs I think I'll start charging them a stateroom tax

Actually, if you are already getting a verandah room, it is not more expensive to get 1 inside room also. On our last cruise it was actually $100 less to get the two rooms than the 4 of us in the verandah room.

Hi everybody!

Just back from the theater and Alice in Wonderland in 3D...pretty cool! I was unsure at first because after Monsters vs Aliens U was dissapointed with Up but this was really good. DS5 wasn't all that happy with it until the scary parts ended LOL

What a bizarre day here.... If you watched any of the national news shows this morning they all their weather people staked out in our state somewhere! Quite honestly, not only am I tired of the crazy weather, but tired of seeing it all over the news!! This weekend - 5+ inches of rain and 70 MPH winds! Mixed with the melted 78" of snow and there's loads 'o water around here!

Best line on GMA today was "first the Jersey Shore TV show and then this... haven't these people suffered enough?" (We suffer for a lot of reasons here - now the weather is another reason to consider relocating!!).

Faced with the loss of an hour's sleep due to the time change.... throw in the power outages.... the noise of our neighbor's siding rolling around in the street.... one of the parents in DD's class decided to have their kid's birthday party this morning - AT 9AM?!?!?!?! I tried my best to get out of going (one of those places with big, giant inflatable things), but apparently I was going to lose that battle....

Lying there watching the clock... 7:45...8:00...and then I was saved by phone - - PARTY CANCELLED - power outage!! Bad for the little boy, but good for me!! Honestly, who has a birthday party on a Sunday morning at 9AM anyway?!?

Glad that you liked Alice! We really enjoyed it. There were some scary parts...even my DS10 covered his eyes in parts.

Sounds like some crazy weather and a crazy schedule! I am really missing that extra hour and know how hard it is for me to get back on track after day light savings!

I worked on our website a bit...just adding some of the new people and setting up a new family page. I really wish that Disney would release a bit more information about our cruise. I like details! I did do a short blog entry today as well - I had been ignoring that part...not that everyone is interesting in my going on and on about life!

DH and I ran today - it was a horrible run for me! I was way too hot, we went way too fast to start with and in general I was just not in the mood. I don't know why because it was a beautiful day here. I was just working too hard to really enjoy it.

Well, I am trying to figure out all of my points for the rest of this year. Bruce, has a business trip to Orlando in October. The trip falls around the Columbus Day weekend and we have a four-day weekend that weekend due to Teacher-In Service that weekend. So I would like to come down to Orlando with the kids and meet him and have the company pay for the two nights we are all there with Bruce then leave the hotel and go over to SSR or OKW for five nights. But with my points I only have enough left for four nights without having to borrow into the following year. I can't believe with all of the points that we have that I "burn" through them every year. So debating whether or not to pay cash for a night or what to do?? Or to borrow the 7 points. But then the next year our Spring Break falls during the Easter week so that will use a ton of my points....!!

Kristin, remember to schedule DL and DCA to hang out with your SoCal buddies.

It's about time is all I have to say. I got home from work and Nancy had the windows OPEN!!! Yay!!!
It's supposed to be nice all week and then get cold again for the last hoorah winter storm we get every year. Third week of March...like clock work.
