Morning Kristin! Sounds like you had fun seeing Beauty and the Beast! I was on the boards for a bit but then just decided it was time for bed - so I missed your comments last night.

Anything good on the agenda for today?

Wow - go away for a day and a half and I had SIX pages to catch up on!! So here goes...

So I have to ask. Since were will be at CC twice, what are everyone's plans?
in 2008 our youngest was too young to do anything else but hang out on the beach. We tried the paddle boats etc but were denied. Our oldest and DW did the stingrays.
This time we are going to take full advantage of the island.

we are definitely planning on the jet ski excursion. Tess is finally old enough to do this - she was sooo disappointed when she couldn't go on our first trip. I also want to spend some time on Serenity Bay - we have never been there. we always stay and "float" at the family beach - which I like and DH LOVES. (just look for his Army boonie cap put there, somewhere on a float...)

As for the other excursions, we did the singray one and my DS (then 11) was so enthralled that he spent the next year researching what he should study to become a marine biologist. It was a terrific experience.
Kristin, we had less fun on the banana boats. I think it depends on your driver - and how daring you are. Sean and I found our trip a little lame. The kids and sean also thought that the parasailing was fun, but not enough of an adrenaline rush...

Erika, and Harry, I can forward you the number to have friends/family that DVC wants them to call. All they have to do is give your name, and hometown/state, before they take the phone tour then they are in the system under your name and in about 20 minutes they are done and your gift-card is on its way!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We got ours in the mail last week!!!

Tomorrow we are going to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast the Broadway show is coming to a theatre near us. Our friend works for a bank and he was able to get us all tickets for free for their family and our family!! Super nice of him. The kids are all excited. It will be a late night but wicked fun!!

Kristin, we saw this on Broadway and loved it. with all the shows I've seen, I have to say this is one of my favorites. great music, great score and wonderful story line. I even liked it better than the Lion King.

Today is my last scheduled long run before my race before I begin my taper, but we're experiencing another Nor'easter (thankfully rain not snow) and there is zero chance of getting outdoors today. Tomorrow doesn't look too much better so it appears I will be relying on the treadmill.

Good luck on your race!! We drove through some treacherous snow, sleet and ice last night through the Berkshires. Luckily today is a little dismal out but no more sleet...

Evening Everyone!

I am working on our web site tonight so if you think of anything be sure to post it so I can add it. I have neglected portions of it for a while and need to get going on things like the blog and such.

Today has been a bit boring here. DH and I ran today, we did a bunch of errands, rested in bed a bit and basically just took it easy. I have been so stressed all week with conferences that it was good to have a day off.

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Hi Jen!!! :wave2: I will be catching up with you later!!! (a long email is promised!!!)

Hey there!!!

We have a virtual porthole too!!
This is definitely going to be a great cruise!! Lots of great people !!

Another family with a virtual port hole here!! Actually, after talking to Jen, we decided to go for two of them. One for me and Sean and the other for DS and DD (they will be 16 and 11...) Two rooms will be a new experience for us!!

I am just back from the gym and need to get everyone moving here. We didn't get back til late last night so everyone thinks it is an hour earlier than it actually is. :confused3 LOL. Tess' team played GREAT but didn't win any awards. We were so proud of how well they played together - they are all 5th graders and most of the teams they played were 6th graders. The height difference of one year was astounding. then we're heading doen the street to help a friend move into her new house. She was actually the kids baby sitter when they were much littler - she is now married, a mom and a teacher at our middle school! Boy, do I feel old. :lmao: we're going to make some chocolate chip cookies to bring down...

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Morning Jude!

Glad to have you back. Sounds like you had fun watching Tess play basketball - that is great that they played so well even if they did not win awards.

We had been looking at CC excursions and the only one we know for sure at this point is the 2-day float rental! :rotfl: We will be out there floating by Sean! I guess we also know that Paul and I will be doing the 5K one morning too. I would like to look at other options but I don't know if any of it is really our deal.

Well, time to change the laundry and then get ready for our long run today. We are going to try for at least a 7K...maybe doing 10K. Have to get it all done right away this morning because Paul has to work on report cards today.

I will be checking in later -
Jen

Jude, sounds like you had a FUN time at Tess's games.

Jen, good luck on your run.

I can't believe that it is almost eleven. The kids have a bowling party this afternoon....UGH!! I am soo behind with this time change thing. Who ever invented it??:confused3:confused3

I have been spending the morning trying to figure our Disney Vacations for the next year or so...

Just felt how cold and windy it is outside. I think we will run later this afternoon when it warms up.

I love planning vacations! What ones are you trying to figure out? Sounds like a lot of fun!

Good morning fellow "Dreamers"
Some mean anti sleep angels crawled in our house overnight and took an hour of sleep away from me and I'm NOT impressed!

Pesky little buggers came to our house too!

Hey Jen, there is something bright, causing shadows on my driveway. Is that sun out there?????????????? Can't be, we don't have sun in MN anymore.

We also have 2 cabins, we did that our last cruise too, no way 4 of us could all share 1 shower. We'd never get ready for dinner. And now I get the best of both worlds the virtual porthole and the verandah LOL!

Hey Jen. Just ran out to Staples and CVS and it is freezing cold here too and raw out!!

Well, I am trying to figure out all of my points for the rest of this year. Bruce, has a business trip to Orlando in October. The trip falls around the Columbus Day weekend and we have a four-day weekend that weekend due to Teacher-In Service that weekend. So I would like to come down to Orlando with the kids and meet him and have the company pay for the two nights we are all there with Bruce then leave the hotel and go over to SSR or OKW for five nights. But with my points I only have enough left for four nights without having to borrow into the following year. I can't believe with all of the points that we have that I "burn" through them every year. So debating whether or not to pay cash for a night or what to do?? Or to borrow the 7 points. But then the next year our Spring Break falls during the Easter week so that will use a ton of my points....!!:confused3:confused3

The sun is coming out here too - I think the roads are actually even drying up a little. Enjoy it while it is here because I see in the extended weather report the sun plans on leaving MN after just a couple days.

I would have loved to have done 2 cabins the way you are -one with a verandah and one with a porthole but it was just too expensive this time around. I might have thought different if it were a longer cruise but for a short cruise I just decided we could skip the verandah.

Ahhh, the troubles of figuring out your points! You have been going a lot so I would imagine it gets tricky. I know that we will have to start planning for both of our trips next year pretty soon. I have ideas but will have to see if what I have in my mind actually works out on paper.

I'm so not looking forward to all the extra $$ these trips are going to cost us. As soon as our kids are old enough to get jobs I think I'll start charging them a stateroom tax :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Shorts and T-shirt weather here:woohoo:. This is our crazy time of year when we have to turn the heat on in the morning to knock the chill out and turn the A/C on in the afternoon. I may even go sit on the kids' sand pile and pretend I'm at Castaway Cay.

Just two more posts and then I can send pm's then I can join the August 16, 2011 website!
