What time do they run the 5K @ CC in the summer (not a big fan of racing in the hot sun!!)? My next 5K is in 2 weeks and my achy knees are holding up - but barely! I did sprints on the track with DS today and am paying for it now....

I don't remember what time we got off the ship...I just remember we were in the first group of people getting off. The run was starting right about the time the fist shuttle was headed to the beach. It was HOT! Still, it was a fun run (I walked most of it last year but will be able to actually run it this time).

We have a 7K in 2 weeks and it will be the first "real" race I have ever done. I am very nervous about it as I am still very slow.

Hope your knees feel better soon!

Oh...70° would be wonderful!!! I am just hoping we stay in the 40s this week. The weatherman is saying 40s and rain most the week - that will be great to get rid of a bunch of the snow but horrible because I will have to put in my running miles on the treadmill and I HATE the treadmill.

I'll have to give it some serious consideration. Though my body instinctively shuts down at a certain temperature when it comes to running It's mostly mental now perhaps - had a nasty experience once running a 10K in temps that were over 80; crossed the finish line and (I'll leave it at that...).

Is your race on Sat. 3/20? That's the date of my 5K.
