Help! I need pixie dust!!!! I just got home from school and my son told me he had 5 kids in his class throw up today. :scared1: I can't stand puke so I'm freaking out that he's going to be next. Plus his class was in the library with me this morning so I was exposed to all those little sickies too.

Oh my gosh. I hate throw-up. I can't stand it........That stuff makes me freak out too!!

Pixie-Dust,, that your kids do not get it!!

Jen,, How are you feeling today??

sdchickie - I totally hope you don't get sick at your house. I must say that throwing up doesn't really get to me that much but no one likes it. YEW! Stay healthy!

Kristin - I am on my way to WW to weigh in. I am not feeling really positive about today's weigh in after being home sick for 2 days. I am feeling better though so it is time to get moving again and not just sit around eating! :scared1:

Jen,
I wish I could get back into WW, Idid it 2 years ago and lost 20 lbs. I just can't seem to make myself want to write everything down. I need to try and get something going tho, I want to loose some weight before my Oct. cruise. I just can't stand the fat vacation photos.

New resolution to get back to posting more!!

HI Laura, How are you and Marco doing??!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:):)
Hi, Laura; Hi, Marco!!! What great timing - I wore my beautiful green necklace to work today. I get compliments on it everytime I wear it. Hope all is well in Italy!!!

After reading the main boards, I noticed talk of prices raising for our week. I went on the DCL website and posted dummy reservations and my new 4D cabins went up by a total of $320.00 since Wednesday:scared1:

Joe
Yikes!!!:scared1: We're still trying to talk some friends into joining us on the cruise - we won't be too successful if the prices keep going up...

Just have to post...

Only 542 Days until our cruise! :thumbsup2

but the better date is....

Only 377 Days until Jude and I go to WDW to run the Princess Half Marathon!:banana::banana:

The dates were just released for the 2011 Princess and we will be running on March 6th. I will be a bit freaked out once the 2010 Princess is over because then it will be under 1 year and I have got to train! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Jen

You are freaked? Right there with ya!! Who else will join us?? (seriously...come on, Kristin!!...Janeanne??? Gina??? Michelle???...anyone?????)

The main reason we do main is because you get to the Pirates party earlier and you might actually be hungry again for the buffet after. Late dining is nice for the days you want to stay off the ship later. One other thing I noticed during early seating last time is we never did see a sunset.
We did late on our first cruise and main on our second. We decided we liked late better. Main was just too early for our family, even though we typically eat before 6PM at home (me, DH, DS-then-14 and DD-then-9). We found ourselves rushing back from Castaway Cay and the other ports. And while we missed alot of the Pirate buffet when we had late dining, we didn't really eat much at it this time either. We just had more of an opportunity to see what was there. In the end, I don't think there is a right or wrong choice. Just whatever fits your family better...:goodvibes

Well I guess I didn't get enough pixie dust, Jake is sick  that makes 1/3 of his class sick in 1 day. I don't know what this thing is but YIKES! I wonder how many will be out of school tomorrow. I just hope the rest of us don't get it.

I am ALMOST to 20 pounds since New Year's Day. It is so close. I have been a bit lazy about things this past week because I had this horrible cold coming on. I need to get back to my motivated place so that I can get to the 20 pound mark...I am shooting for 50 pounds by August! If you are interested, there is a really good weight loss/healthy living section of the DIS, check out the threads on the WISH forum. I am a part of their biggest loser program right now and I get a lot of great help on the site.

Ohh, I am so sorry for you. I hope that he recovers quickly and that you don't get it! Sending more pixie dust for good health again!!! :wizard:

Yes...I am a bit freaked! We were talking about it at supper tonight - I kept on saying that "I need to check with Jude about that."! We talked about pace, how much we will run or walk, could I really run all 13.1 miles of it, where will we stay, where will we eat (can't discuss WDW without food)! It is super exciting - I am looking for our outfits!

Just so you know...I did already talk with Kristin about it. :goodvibes She said that she would come and cheer us on! :cheer2: I think it would be fun to have a crew running with us or just there for support...believe me...I will need support! :rotfl:

Yep, I know. I did 2 miles on the treadmill and was exhausted. I was thinking of running a 5K tonight and decided that was just plain silly. Instead, I had a sensible dinner and I am now in bed relaxing. I will go to bed early so that I am ready to work again tomorrow.

I hope you all get your delayed start tomorrow!

Hi all! I honestly haven't checked in for a long while and hope to get a bit more involved in the thread! I am so impressed with all of you talking about running the marathons... that would only happen in my dreams! I also did WW last year and lost 40 lbs! I was off on FMLA when we adopted our 2nd child this past September and gained back about 20 lbs! It makes me very frustrated that I just kinda gave up... I need to get motivaed by all of you!

I teach in PA and a flu like bug is zipping through here as well...think positive thoughts... better now than on the cruise!;)

Hi everyone. I'm new to this group - we just booked our 4C cabin this week. My DH and 2 of my DDs (7 and 10) are all really excited about the cruise.

I had to join in on the marathon discussion. Last month, I registered for my first race - I'm doing the Wine and Dine in October, but I'm running it as a relay with a friend. Its still up in the air who is running the 5 miles and who is running the 8 mile leg. I went from the couch to running 2 1/2 miles 4 days a week in 6 weeks. Last weekend, for my long run, I ran 3.6 miles. I highly recommend the book running for mortals. There are great training plans in the book, as well as some very no nonsense tips.

Happy to be a part of the group!

Hello!!! Glad to have you check back in! Sounds like there are a few of us here who are looking to lose weight...we will have to have our own little support group to help us all reach our goal in time for our vacation!

I was not a runner at all! I had tried last summer to get in shape to run the 5K on Castaway Cay. I did complete the 5K but it took me forever and I did not run at all again after our trip. This time I decided I was going to take it slow and train the right now. Started with the Couch to 5K program and love it! I am to the point where I will call myself a runner. I will do many races this spring/summer/and fall as I prepare to run the Princess in 2011! I would have never even imagined running it...but thanks to Jude, I will be there and I will complete it!

Just have to ask...what do you teach? I teach 4th grade and DH teaches 5th grade.

Glad to have you checking in!
Jen

Hello! I just sent you a PM with information to access our website! Hope you enjoy it!

How cool that we have another runner in our group! I just finished reading the book "Marathoning for Mortals" - another great book! I did not use any of the training plans in the book though...I am using the Couch to 5K program on my iPod. I am up to week 7 and can now run 25 minutes at a good pace without any problems! I can't wait to hear about your experience with the Wine & Dine this October!!!

I would love to come and cheer you and Jude on during the marathon.........................

Maybe, a few others from our cruise will join you along for the run!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

The dates are released...the weekend will be March 4-6th. I am assuming that Paul and I will fly to WDW late on the 3rd and stay until the evening of the 7th. It could change slightly because of flights but that would be our goal.

I hope you and Bruce can plan a weekend with us all and join in the fun of the race weekend!
