Hey Harry,

Yeah we were taken back by the pricing too. I hoped to pull off another small miracle by booking another Royal suite or if the price increase was too high then a Cat T (one bedroom suite). For a 7 day on the Fantasy in July 2013 DCL wanted 27k and 18k respectively.

We booked at cat 4 - 3A, 1C for $7,400, but not really happy, we may cancel and go to Aulani instead. Last year we booked 2 Cat 4s for $7,800 for August 2012 so by effectively doubling the price in one year it just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

Jeff, WOW!!!!! Those are crazy prices!!!!

I'm still waiting to see what the Magic and Wonder are going to do! I need to move my dummy date. The 2013 $$ are crazy, so I'm waiting......wish they would release the dates!!

We booked the 6/29 Fantasy 7 day for 2013, but the pricing is insane and are thinking of canceling. Have you decided on the dates you are going to Aulani? We are flexible, but would like to go in early July to celebrate our anniversary.

By the way, our anniversary is 7/1. We have vacationed before over the 4th to take advantage of using one less vacation day. When we have talked about Hawaii we thought about spending some time touring the islands and possibly finishing up the vacation at Aulani but again nothing written in stone, just kicking around some ideas.

Kristin-- is that the June 2-day out of NYC? I'd love to do that, but we wouldn't know until much later if it will work out with scheduling. Maybe there'll be a VGT rate by then.

It seems like all the prices are higher. I was looking at a Eastern in March, but I think that is well over budget. I'll probably still look at the VGT rates, if there are any.

We're booked on an August cruise to Alaska, but we may need to move it to May, due to work scheduling. Anyone done Alaska in either late May or mid August and have some insight?

That would be a fun way to celebrate your anniversary. We have a really good friend who works at Aulani. So we are looking forward to seeing her. She used to work for DCL!! Funny we were just saying how we wanted to be there for the 4th since Bruce would have to use up one less day of vacation time. We are planning on stopping in California on the way home as well.

I just called DVC to book our summer vacation as well.

I know you sent me your email once before could you please send it again? Then we can email about Hawaii. Thanks, and tell Missy we said HELLO!!

Yes, the two day out of NYC June 15th is the date. We have about five couples going at this point. I did not think the pricing was too bad but we booked it a while ago!! I hope you can make it and join us it would be FUN!!

We have been busy celebrating my parents 60° wedding anniversary !!


Marco and I have already our tickets for Hawaii , August 2012 !! We'll be visiting 3 islands , 23 vacation days + 2days trip to reach Hawaii and 2days trip to come back home !!!

KRISTIN : you will have a wonderful experience in Hawaii !! How wonderful if also Jeff's family and other friends can join in !!!!
( Consider that jet lag and the long flight will put you "down" for at least one full day ...)
