We are locked into summer dates only due to fact that we can't realistically take our kids out of school anymore.... contemplating a summer 2013 Western at this point....

Think positive thoughts for me.... I made it to Round 2 for the Disney Mom's Panel!! I've applied every year since they started the panel and this is the first time I've gotten past Round 1!

I applied for the WDW Panel (they have multiple classifications this year) and my Round 2 questions and 60 second video were submitted on Friday and we should find out sometime next week.

I'm trying really hard to not think about it!

I'm really going to miss Disney this Oct. It will be the first time in 3 years that we havent gone in Oct. Have fun and post some pictures from the MNSSHP so we can live vicariously through your trip.

We have been a few times for NYE and love the fireworks and the atmosphere in the park with the DJ and all. I think that's the 2nd most fun we've ever had on NYE with the kids. The best NYE with the kids was on the Wonder last year, that was a blast.

We are also going to do the Princess half in Feb. I got my mom on board so we're going to do it together. I made her run her first 5K at Disney last Oct. and now she's hooked.

Hey-- we're doing the Princess Half too! (The CC 5K was part of our training plan.) Have you been following the DIS Princess Half thread?

I'm kinda hoping for the 8 day from NYC to Bermuda (no flying and 8 days!!), but will most likely end up on a summer Eastern/Western - whichever date is cheaper that works for us. I'm just sick of the Eastern/Western itinerary. Hopefully our friends will come this time, so it won't matter.

OMG the prices!!!!!!!!!!!! For 2 nights more than we did this past August, it's almost double the price!! $1300 higher than the December 2012 that I dummy booked on board (10 months after they started booking that cruise)

I'm sorry Disney, but I just can't do that anymore.

I checked prices in the fall, and they are a bit better, but I can't do school year vacations right now. Alexa would be senior in the fall of 2013, so no way.

I agree - the prices seem off the charts in comparison to the 2012 dummy date we booked as well!

I agree, I'm getting tired of the same itinerary too!
I also agree about the prices!!YIKES!!!! I need t move my dummy date too....maybe an Eastern if I can find a good rate. I wish the schedule for the Magic and Wonder would come out!!

I was thinking about that one too! What cat. did you book? If we do the same cat. 5A we did in Aug.....it's $6000!!!!!! (without the discount, but still!!!!) I don't know what I'm goig to do.....

One of the Aug (10 or 17) went up almost $1000 from 8:30 to 11:30, then went back down a smidge an hour later.

We're looking at some of the Aug dates and April vacation. Right now it looks like April might be cheaper, but the flights down may kill us. I can't do true pricing since we're a bigger group. I've just been plugging in 2A & 2K. I'm afraid wht the TA will come back with today. This is too stressful.

We moved our dummy date to a Aug 2013 date; however, it's unlikely at this time that we will end up keeping that one. Gonna hold out for something "better" when the Magic and Wonder itineraries come out!

Mine is $6300 for a cat 5e (previously 6b) and 11b. No way I am paying that. I think we need to go back to WDW in 2013 anyway. Unless the Magic or Wonder come up with something amazing and affordable, which I doubt.

We moved our dummy date to Aug 17, 2013. 2 cabins cat 11 ~$5900 family of 5). Ugh! Let's see what the Wonder/Magic bring.

now I"m just praying that their spring break will be that week - it usually is the last week in March...if not, we'll have to cancel. won't know until later in the school year.

I had moved ours to our April vacation because it was cheaper, but when I priced out airfare, we'd end up spending almost as much on that as the cruise. I felt horrible calling the TA asking him to move it a few hours later on opening day.

My TA moved my dummy date to fantasy 7 night March 23rd for the 2013 school spring break. I got it for $2300 for 2A and 1C, this does not include the OBC from my TA and DCL.
Apparently there were 2 dates in March and one in June that had "glitch" prices that suddenly jumped up by $3000 by 11am on 10/18/11. All the booked low prices have been honored.

We ended up moving our dummy date to the 4 night Dream Christmas sailing (12/22). Not sure if we'll keep it though. Those prices were crazy...
