Hey Folks,

Eveybody is very chatty these last couple of days. Lots of last minute fun to be had.

A couple of thoughts today. We don't yet have a location for our group photo for pirate night. I am waiting for suggestions from Shutters, hopefully hear something soon.

08/02 embarkation: I know we are all waiting to hear how this goes today, but the reality is cruise threads typically get quiet during the cruise. We may not have any good feedback until the trip reports kick in.

Anyone,, going to Blizzard Beach after the cruise??

Our flight is not until 7:30 Sunday night, so our current plan is to go to either BB or TL for the day. Are we crazy to think this is a good idea?

Welcome Laurie! I have an 11 year old daughter as well.. She has been emailing a few other girls who will be on the cruise, I am sure they will love to meet your daughter.

oh that really neat! I wanted to get online before this and find out about people on our cruise, but it's beens such a busy summer that I haven't taken the time to do it until now! are you doing the cabin tour?

I'm hoping the tween club will be fun for the kids - my kids didn't do much with oceaneers club last year on the Wonder.

finally starting to think about getting ready to pack, need to print my packing list...kids are getting excited to see how close we are getting!

I've been jonesing for disney, so I'll be happy to be at my beloved AKL on the 12th!! (and the sad thing is we were just at disney last November)

anyone else NOT doing any tours in ports? we want to enjoy the ship as much as possible, though we did rent floats for Castaway Cay. our last cruise it was rainy on our CC day, so I'm hoping it will be a better experience this time!

Oh, and my daughter is making something for our door where it's a quiz and people can answer a new trivia question every day. we are in room 6084

Thanks! I did not do a very good job with the site this time around. On our last cruise, the site was way bigger with way more info. This time I have been pretty busy with work and just didn't get to it like I probably should have.

Jeff - Thanks again for taking care of the group photo! I think it is just such a cool idea and I will enjoy being a part of it.

I am already reading how the embarking goes...there are people reporting live and I am following carefully.

Not crazy at all! We did this one year and it was great. I think it is a wonderful way to spend the day, relax and keep cool before leaving.

Sounds like you are getting ready! A bunch of us here are in various states of packing . . . many with our new packing cubes!

We are not doing anything in Nassau really. We might get off and go to the market quickly. At CC we will have floats the first day and then a cabana the 2nd day.

I'm not sure what to make of that thread. It seems they are not enforcing the arrival times. Then what is the point? Sounds like it will still be a nightmare!

I will be watching the next few cruises carefully. I think their problem will be that they did NOT notify people properly, the wording in the cruise documents says they MAY enforce the times (not that they will enforce the times) and that there are many people who still have a time that is before 11:00.

I think that it is going to be a total nightmare until they get past the point of the cruises that had already done their online check-in before the change was made.

I completely forgot it was THE Tuesday we've been waiting for. Just checked the main boards first to see if there was any news and I agree, really not much. I hope they have a chance to update once they've settled in before sail away.

Our family has a flight out this Sunday , hoping we aren't delayed/cancelled for Emily and that our Surprise can go on as planned for Monday. It's an all day outdoor water related, probably only do one time kind of surprise (sorry, the kids sometimes read my posts but maybe you can guess the who/what we're spending time with). I believe they will reschedule the day if it's weather related, I'll have to call them to check.

I was up until well after 1 am packaging our FE gifts. I can't believe they took so long to bag and tag (even with pre-printed labels!). Bought my box and fingers crossed that everything fits or I'm carrying it with me.

Good Evening Everyone...Back from a very loong school meeting...We had to have it tonight because of everyone on our executive board is leaving for vacation.

Rough afternoon here my mom got some upsetting news today....Eleven years ago she had breast cancer. She had her mammogram and ultrasound on Friday. They told her she was fine. As she was on the phone telling me this the place was beeping through. They wanted her back for more pictures today. Well her and my dad went back today. She has the same thing back on the other-side now. She has to wait for the surgeon to call her tomorrow to schedule the biopsy. This is excatlly what she went through before. It just stinks to get this kind of news 9 nights before we are all supposed to be leaving. Now we are not sure is the surgeon going to want/need to operate right away or start treatments before we all are supposed to go. My parents want to still go but who knows what will happen now!!

Anyone,, going to Blizzard Beach after the cruise??

Thanks, for telling me about your mom. Talking, to my mom right now and they want to go. My brother who is a PA wants them to cancel. My parents are going to visit with my brother on Thursday!!

Kristin - I was sorry to see this today. Tell your mom we are thinking of her. I agree with everyone that they should go on the trip.

I am currently at the Disney Cruise Line terminal about to board the Disney Dream and wanted to make sure you were aware that starting today the Disney Cruise Line Terminal will not open until 11AM. In the past it has opened at 10AM. This morning no one was allowed past the gate to terminal prior to 11AM. Cars, cabs and shuttle vans had to wait to outside the gate until 11AM. Please use this information to plan your arrival time.

As of this morning Disney Cruise Line has not been enforcing prearranged check-in times but they could at anytime. If you have not already selected a check-in time for your cruise please access your reservation via disneycruise.com and select a time.
Please note guests that have sailed on 10 or more Disney Cruise Line vacations or are sailing in a suite do not need to prearrange a check-in time.
