I have finally stopped procrastinating and started to pack. I looked at the 5 day Navigators and now I'm confused.

Do I have it right that there is no Formal Night?

Tuesday (departure) cruise casual
Wednesday (CC) cruise casual
Thursday (At Sea) semi formal
Friday (Nassau) pirate night
Saturday (CC) cruise casual

Am I overdressing my girls to have them in dresses at dinner every night?

What is everyone doing on semi formal night? I think I might just make this our family formal night and dress everyone up a bit more. Do formal nights only happen on 7 day cruises? I seem to remember both a formal and a semi formal night on our Halloween cruise to the WC.

You are right, there is no formal night (they only have these on the 7 night or longer cruises). Despite that....DD and I will be in dresses/skirts every night at dinner.

For the semi formal night, I have a black cocktail dress that I love and DD has a really cute black dress with a white accent that is really "flowy" and sweet.

For our cruise casual nights, we have nice sundresses. I might also throw in a skirt with some nicer tops to match if I feel like going that route.

We are 30 mins. north & east of Philly and were planning on leaving around 7AM. Hopefully there won't be any traffic nightmares, but have a few alternate routes planned just in case. We want to get there early enough to pick up some groceries (snacks/drinks) for the trip.

Which day are you taking the train? I wonder if it matters if it is a weekday or weekend??

I just got off the phone with Avis in Cape Canaveral. Initially the guy believed I was with the Port Authority because of the questions I was asking.

They said that their first shuttle left the lot at 11AM this morning and was able to make it to the drop off point with minimal traffic.

They had received a notice from DCL or the Port Authority to wait until at least 11AM to send out the first shuttle. By then the parking garage would be open and the traffic would be clear. He also told me that there are fewer shuttle passengers on Tuesdays than the other days.

Doesn't sound too bad. But the days of arriving at 9:30, unloading and then hanging with friends are gone!

It's also tough on the non-DCL cruisers. This will move their potential arrival times back also.

This sounds like what people were posting. While I am for the change...I will miss the days of meeting all my friends and hanging out in the terminal. While some people may not have enjoyed this, I loved taking photos and anticipating the cruise.

Count us in on these exact plans. Lazy days on the boat & floating in Castaway Cay's waters. Welcome!

I was up until well after 1 am packaging our FE gifts. I can't believe they took so long to bag and tag (even with pre-printed labels!). Bought my box and fingers crossed that everything fits or I'm carrying it with me.

ME too! I tried to bring my box to the PO today, & it didn't all fit. Gotta find a bigger box.

finally starting to think about getting ready to pack, need to print my packing list...kids are getting excited to see how close we are getting!

I've been jonesing for disney, so I'll be happy to be at my beloved AKL on the 12th!! (and the sad thing is we were just at disney last November)

anyone else NOT doing any tours in ports? we want to enjoy the ship as much as possible, though we did rent floats for Castaway Cay. our last cruise it was rainy on our CC day, so I'm hoping it will be a better experience this time!

Oh, and my daughter is making something for our door where it's a quiz and people can answer a new trivia question every day. we are in room 6084

Count us in on not doing any tours or excursions - the only place we are going to is Serenity Bay on cc. The rest of the time we will be chilling on the ship.

I'm pretty sure the most we are going to do as far as excursions is follow the PassPorter walking tour around Nassau and rent some bikes (and maybe snorkel equipment) on Castaway Cay.

We are renting from Avis and returning the car to PC Tuesday morning. So, if the first shuttle leaves for the port at 11am, what time should we plan on arriving at Avis (to make the 1st--or at least 2nd--shuttle)? Any idea how big the shuttle van/bus is? (We have 6 people--given that you can't drop people off at the port ahead of time, I guess we'll all be on the shuttle.)

Hi Laurie. I had started posting awhile back and stopped. I just rejoined the group about a month ago. I have 2 DS - one is 11 and one is 15.



Have you thought about checking one of the navigators to see what characters are available at that time for pics? Everyone could meet up at a certain time???

Jen-- thanks for cleaning up the pic. I am going to work on my magnets in the next few days if someone would create the 36 hr day. Too much to do and not enough time.


Question about the prints---- where have you guys bought these? I would love to get one for my home office. I work from home so I would see it all the time.

Marsha-- thanks for posting the 2 week countdown!!!! It is getting so real!

Oh well-- break time is over. Back to work.
