And, I agree with assigning it to the TA when you rebook. Between the DCL onboard credit and the Disney Visa OBC, and the TA's OBC, every littel bit helps. Plus, our TA is so very helpful when you have questions.

Disney Visa OBC???? How did you get this? I used my Disney Visa to pay for my cruise, but I did not earn any additional on board credit for this. (unless you are referring to the Disney rewards, which I got).

Or if anyone's in the BW area, we're doing dinner at Kouzzina if anyone's interested in a pre-cruise mini-meet.

We're staying in Downtown Disney until the morning of the 16th. I have Kouzzina booked for the day we arrive, but think it may be too tight. I could be persuaded to change to the 15th. Let me know.

LOVE the scrapbook pages. Are they templates you dropped pictures into, or did you create them yourself?
 
Okay...more rebooking questions.

Say I book a dummy date for a 3 day in early December (which qualifies me for $100 OBC plus the 10% down/10% discount)...if I end up switching to a 7 day (understanding that I will have to pay any additional deposit $$) does the OBC credit get adjusted to $200?

I would assume that if I booked a 7 day dummy booking and downgraded it to a 3 day my OBC would be reduced but I'm not sure DCL would allow the adjustment the other way.

Is it okay to just rebook me & dh on the dummy date and add the kids later or should the kids be on the reservation from the start?

Actually that is a good point. Your OBC is based on two things: the length of cruise and your CC member level. If you book a 3 day and change to a 7 day your OBC will be adjusted up.

If you plan on a 7 day in 2013 you don't have to book a 7 day dummy date. Book a 3 day Dream cruise in 2012 (dummy date) and move it to whatever you want in 2013. The OBC will be adjusted according to the length and whether you are Silver, Gold or Platinum.

Good news! I heard back from the Shutters folks on-board the Dream via Concierge services.

Hello Jeff, We have heard back from the ship. They can arrange a private photographer for 7:30pm on Pirate night in the Atrium.There will not be a character available to join in the photo. If you would like us to confirm this, we can get everything rolling. As discussed the price will be $85.00 for the hour plus any photos purchased. For your convience we can use the credit card on the account . Let us know how you would like to proceed.

we're not sure what we're doing that day (might go to a water park), but if people wanted to meet up after dinner on the boardwalk, maybe we could swing that..

thanks! a bit of both - I use a Creative Memories program (Storybook Creator Plus), and some of their predesigned templates/pages, but then end up customizing/changing it alot!

I'll have to see if I can do a link to my album that online for anyone who wants to look at it...

If you used your Disney Visa to pay for your entire cruise (deposit and any other subsequent payments), you should receive a $50 on board credit.

Ours didn't show up until after we made our final payment. Received that PIF email confirmation and it was NOT on there, but then applied a few days later (TA double checked it for us).

Sure. Emailing the FE folks is a good idea.

I don't mind picking up the tab on the photo. I originally thought maybe 5 bucks per stateroom but then I might wind up collecting $200 for an $85 bill so that doesn't make sense.

No check is necessary, but if you see me in club 687 (sport bar) or someplace else and my hand is empty perhaps a cold frosty beer would be good. I'm a pretty simple guy, drink any basic pilsner beer, i.e., Bud, Coors, Miller nothin' fancy for me. :goodvibes

Also, when on the ship I always get into the Caribbean swing so most "umbrella" driniks work too. Looking forward to a Konk Cooler! :thumbsup2

I think I have finalized my drink to bring on the ship. I found a new flavor of crystal light at BJ's - margarita! Only 5 calories per glass. The crystal light along with tequila still has that sugar free flavor, but I added a splash of pineapple juice and it is fantastic. Total calories per glass are probably just slightly over 100. It may not be an existing, tropical drink, but it tastes great and I dont feel guilty drinking them! I think I will come up with my own tropical name for it.

BTW, the crystal light pack from BJ's was a three pack of margarita, mojito, and appletini. I have not tried the others yet.
 
Hi, Great...

I know many of us will be checking in between 4-5 or even later. The plan is to order from a local place. My mom found an Italian place that does take out. We thought we could all hang pool-side and let the kids swim, etc. and the adults can chat.
If it rains she called the Residence Inn they have a room that we can use to eat in as long as we clean up. So lets plan to all meet between 4-5:30 at the Residence Inn pool?? Even if your not staying there I don't think it will be a big deal...I will PM you my cell numbers!!

Does anyone here scrapbook? I used to traditional scrapbook, but have really gotten into digital scrapbooking - love it!! this past month I finished the book of last August's cruise --just in time to go on another one!

I love to scrap book but never done the digital. I will have to wait to look at the pictures at home because we have some things blocked at work and do not always get the pictures.
