Is anyone else doing the stringray adventure on Day # 1 on CC?? My girls are doing with my dad and husband!!

Good Evening Everyone!

I am hoping I could ask for a small favor.

Our friends that our cruising with us have had a rough night. I got a call tonight from my friend that her husband had been brought by rescue to the ER for chest pain.

Her hubby has a heart condition, so, they've decided to keep him and perform a catherization tomorrow (so long as they can get him on the schedule). The doctor did say that he did not have a heart attack, but they want to perform the catherization to check for blockages. He is resting comfortably, but it is very nerve racking for all.

They are all so very excited for this trip! I tried to be as supportive as I can and told her that it would be okay.

Could I ask you all to send a little pixie dust (and a prayer, too, if you can) for the family, so that her DH is better soon and will get the all clear for this trip?

They are great people and I wish them only the best. Thank you for reading!

Prayers and PD to your friend's family :I really feel for them , my Dad was in ER three times over the past years ( he has a heart condition too) and we know too well how worrying all of this can be ...
Hopefully your friend's DH will be better soon ; and all family ( and YOU ) will thouroughly enjoy the cruise !!!

can we get discounted tickets anywhere? I thought I read that costco might have them... will have to hunt for a costco close to where we are staying I guess...

WOW !!!

For us : 18 days until we leave Italy for our intercontinental flight towards US !!!

STILL no cruise documents !!!
but a few moments ago we received our documents for AKL / park tickets / dining plan !!!!! plus some nice "extra" like discount vouchers for a meal in many different places , preferred fireworks viewing , 15% discount on WDW marina boat rentals , free miniature golf , 10% discount on merchandise in various shops -Downtown etc !!!

NOW , if I could get our cruise docs ...

From what I have found, the cheapest are on the Universal website if you order in advance. The Costco ones I have heard of are 3 day passes, and if you are only going for HP, that would be way too much ticket. I am just going to order ours off the Universal sight.

As of right now, we are I think. We were supposed to have done it on our last cruise but our ship didn't dock at CCC until early afternoon cause the Captain had trouble docking due to the tide that day. All excursions were cancelled.

Same here!!!! We leave for Florida on 8/13 at 7:20 AM. I've never flown that early before and am not looking forward to waking up in the middle of the night. BUT, it gives us a full day in FL - so it is worth it!!

18 days-- that's soon. I'd be jumping for joy! And, I would be having a lot of trouble concentrating at work - -like, right now.... I'm on disboards instead of working.

Oh Candy, you're all in my thoughts and prayers. Last year, when my dad was in hospice and we were told that he could go at any moment, I also prayed that it was sooner rather than later. Although, I couldn't imagine life without him, I also didn't want to continue his suffering.

You're not alone. I had already starting
working on our clothing lists but now have had to stop since the accident. Now, I have to wait for DH's help to pack. He looked like a deer in headlights since I told him he would have to do the majority of the packing. He's never had to do that before. Who knows how many suitcases we will end up with.

Good luck with having DH pack everything!

That would be DH and me as well. Carol is the most thoughtful TA and I know that all of us will appreciate any "surprise"! We will just have to figure out how to make things work the best we can.

You have the right approach to your FIL situation, we tend to be a little "selfish" and want the person here with us in bones and flesh, regardless of the circunstances. He will still be with you guys, watching over from Heaven and just waiting for you to "get home" soon! your family will be in our prayers, we'll meet soon.
