Didn't get it booked! :rotfl2: I know you must be thinking how crazy I am after asking you REPEATEDLY for the hotel information! I am probably still going to get to it tonight but now I am thinking we will not stay at the same hotel. We get in so late that we won't really see you guys at the hotel and it is $70 more to stay at the Residence Inn versus the Radisson. I am going to check around for deals and hope to finalize that yet tonight.

What time do you get in?? I will get up to see you!!

Were you able to get a good rate? I have a car rented but I'm hoping the prices will drop.

Our 1-night rental is an economy car and I think it was around $45. Our week rental is a full size car and I think that is around $340. I didn't think it was bad based on other searches I did today but it is totally not the best rate we have paid and will continue to watch for discounts.

Who did you use to rent from?

You will NOT wait up you crazy girl....our flight does not get in until 9:45 PM, then we have to get luggage, get the car and then drive to Cape Canaveral. It will be LATE! :upsidedow

I asked my TA if she had any thoughts on the Radisson vs Country Inn & Suites. She told me that she basically forbid me to stay at the Radisson (she was joking, sort of).

Apparently she stayed there w/ a friend before one of her DCL cruises and they found the door lock broken, the fold out couch broken and BLOOD on the wall! They were assigned a new room but apparently it never registered because after they were all settled in bed another guest was using their key to enter the same room!

I'm okay w/ mix-ups, etc but the blood thing really skeeved me out! We opted to book at CI&S.

We have a 10 day rental from Dollar for $252 for a compact. It is a good price compared to the current rates but not as good as we've gotten in the past. I'm hoping rates will drop when August is a little closer.

We are going to SWW in a few weeks and our rate dropped a few weeks ago.

Oh dear....that does NOT sound good at all. Usually we have good luck with the Radisson but that makes me think twice about staying there.

I will be looking and deciding tonight. Might just suck up the extra price since I am saving on transfers and stay at the Residence Inn. :goodvibes

We could have gotten close to that price if we wanted a compact but we plan on spending the week driving around FL and wanted a bigger vehicle. Our biggest problem is that our rental does not include a Saturday night. Since we are renting Sunday to Saturday (based on cruise ending and our flight home), we can't use many discounts as they all need a Saturday night rental. :confused3

I would set my alarm and get up to say HI!!

My vote is you stay at the Residence Inn!!:cool1::banana:

That is a really good price. Where did you get that from??

Kristen,
I submitted that dining request you suggested and got this:

"Hi Frank!

I have submitted your request to the dining team. They will do their
best to fulfill this request.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

How was your day??

Has there been anymore discussion about a dinner meet up the night before the cruise?

If someone would like to make a restaurant recommendation, I don't mind making the reservation. Since we've never been to Port Canaveral I'm not up on where the best places to eat are! ;)

We won't have a car but are planning a poolside meet at Residence Inn if you would like to meet us there...I know Candy, Randy and the Allards will be at the Residence Inn that night before!!:):thumbsup2

We stayed at CI&S twice and loved it there. You won't be disappointed.

A huge shout out to Kristin for the countless hours expended on the FE lists. Now they are out of her hands and we don't want her to have to do anything else! We should all buy her the drink of the day whenever we run into her on the ship! :dance3::dance3:
