What is your weather for the next few days??????

Who knows?! Now the experts are saying freezing rain, turning to rain, then turning to snow after the sun sets.... I'm just going to resort to sticking my head out the window and checking myself instead of watching the weather forecast!

Looks, like another mixed bag for us here too!!

Did you switch your after cruise plans @ WDW, to another resort??

Hi, its been quite a while since I posted! But with the Dream being Christened:thumbsup2, booking Vero Beach post cruise:cool1: and making our final payment:banana:, I'm getting very excited again! Just need airfare and car rental and we will be all set!

Its going to take me a while to go thru all the posts since I was last on!

Dh and I are crunching numbers and are seriously thinking of taking the Auto train.

After adding fuel, food, hotel and other costs...the Auto Train is only $250 more than driving.

It would also allow us some extra time to go see dh's mom & stepdad who are 20min south of WDW without taking time away from WDW.

Decisions, Decisions!

Evening Everyone!

Thanks so much for all the get well wishes! I would like to post that I was feeling better....but I am not. Things at work have gotten crazy and there is NO WAY I could take a day off right now so I will be working through the cold. I brought home tons of work tonight as well but I plan on taking my NyQuil (aka falling into a deep sleep) by 9:30 tonight. I am giving myself 15 minutes to get caught up here, a bit of time to do a bit more work and then it is time for bed!

DH has been looking at menus on All Ears tonight and proclaims that we will not be interested in Palo for dinner on the Dream. It appears that both of our favorite selections are no longer on the menu. I will still be trying for a brunch reservation but doubt we will try for a dinner slot.

I will love to study the menus when I have a bit more time because dreaming about food is one of my favorite things about planning Disney trips!

I hope you feel better soon. :wizard: I know you are preparing for the marathon so I am sure that is no fun when you are sick. Get some rest.

Thanks Marsha! Last night I did get a workout done. Tonight I am glad to have a night off. The plan is to run again tomorrow but we are going to have to see.

Hope your feeling better soon Jen..................Sending lots and lots of pixie dust your way!!!!!!!Thinking of you this week!!:) :)

Thanks Kristin! It is going to be a super busy week here. I doubt I will see you online much to chat but will call you this weekend! :goodvibes

We got a delay this morning...YEAH!! 90 MINUTES!!!:cool1::banana:

Seriously....please share why or what the temperature was. :rotfl2:

It really does. I realized I was ok at 30 degrees, then 15 was too cold, then 3degrees was just brutal. :goodvibes

I LOVE 30 degrees and am so excited because it is suppose to be in the 20s tomorrow! :woohoo: When it gets down to zero or below, it is hard to deal with.

Hope you feel better soon, Jen! :wizard:

Thanks! It is so great to come and read everyone's get better notes...now if only my cold will listen and cooperate! :rotfl:

Another one?! Between delays, closings, and Disney trips - when do your girls actually go to school?!? :lmao:

:lmao: This was what I was thinking when I saw it! Actually, I wonder how long into the summer the poor girls will have to go to make it all up.

 Ciao Jen , I've got your email, big thankyou !! how is your  cold ?

Wishing you all a very good week !

Sharing with you all some more dreams / the video is amazing !!

3 dozen animated characters EACH day !!!!!!!!!!

Hello Laura! As you can tell from my post....the cold is HORRIBLE! I am taking it easy the best I can and trying to take a lot of cold medicine.

I am so glad you got my long e-mail and hope it puts a smile on your face during your subway ride. I know that you have a long ride so I tried to write as much as I could to help you pass the time! :goodvibes

I love the information about the stateroom!

Hello all.
Well, we have offcially booked our flight and our hotal at the port!!:yay:

Jen, I'm so sorry you are sick! I really hope you feel better soon! Try to get some rest!!

Thanks! I hope I feel better soon too!

How exciting to have booked your flight and hotel for the port! I love when the details start falling into place.

Decisions, Decisions!

We've been throwing around the Auto Train as an option, too. Patiently waiting on Southwest to start selling dates for our return trip. We've been lucky in the past getting good deals on other airlines out of PHL, but with 5 travelers and all those FEES - air travel is a huge expense.

We took the Auto Train once before and have mixed feelings about it. The kids (there were only two of them at the time) had no problems with - slept all night, etc. I can sleep through a bomb going off so I survived, but DW went insane!! The "snow birds" kept walking through the cars at night - and that door would fly open and the light would come shining in. Eventually she lost it on one of them - sadly, the little old dude didn't come through anymore! :rotfl:

For me it was the nasty bathrooms. In our car (loaded with kids) - they didn't get cleaned. By the next morning - the smell!!!

Other than that - one night of semi-torture was met with our vehicle and our luggage all intact and ready to go! We do not travel light either. The benefit of using our own car is that we can leave some things behind if necessary instead of lugging it on the ship.

Same here! DW thinks I'm nuts, but I can't help myself! Waiting for more food pics to be posted! :)

First something I knew already - meteorologist in English actually means "liar"! :rotfl: Forecast today was cloudy and in the 40s. I'd planned a nice training run outside today as I am off from work - the temperature forecast isn't a concern as I check that before I walk out the door... it was the cloudy forecast versus the snow and freezing rain that came falling down on me 5 miles out!!?!

Jen - I have no idea how you deal with those kind of conditions out there?! Though I think I've made it clear that I prefer colder over hotter!

Anyway - and this definitely falls under the T.M.I. heading, but what I learned today is that compression shorts are really needed under running tights when the temps are below freezing :scared1: :upsidedow So for all you novice runners out there... keep that in mind unless you want to literally freeze your bum off!! :rotfl2:

Oh, and then I learned that there are so many terms/words for butt that the DIS blocks out when posting this....

Now I return to working on my, er...... Jake's science fair project

This post was so funny that I had to comment on it by itself! :rotfl2:

We always tell DD that she should be a meteorologist because it is the only job where you can be totally wrong everyday and still have a job! Sorry your weather is not being very nice right now. I did hear on the news today that your weather is worse then ours. Somehow that made me feel better for us....sorry for you!

Running clothing the the winter is interesting. You definitely learn what gets a bit too cold and you are right...certain body parts do get cold fast! :rotfl2: I will be honest - we joined a gym! It has not so much been the cold as it is the road conditions are just too dangerous. We have snow and ice covering everything. There really is no safe place to run. I feel like a bit like I wimped out and am no longer such a hard core athlete but I do feel better that I am not worried about every step I take.

I am getting super excited to run through the Magic Kingdom...just one month away!!!! :woohoo:

I also belong to a gym, but like you - prefer to be outdoors. Running today I also had a keep a close eye on my footing and any traffic where the shoulders were covered in ice or snow. Most of the pathways I use are buried in the white stuff, so it was almost all streets today.

You'll have to share all the details about the Princess 1/2 marathon - I have my eye on the January 2012 race down there. I am not a morning person - those start times have me wondering!!??

Jen, temps. were a bit better today.............it was about 25 or so.. The delay was because of the snow this morning.........

Feel better!! Thinking, of you!!
