We just got them yesterday and had to take them out right away! Now we can go out when the kids are in school.

Oh my gosh Terri. How FUN. Bruce and Hanna took one out while we were in Vero Beach so they could view the sea turtles. They are sooo much FUN!! ENJOYE!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Definitely for you!! LOL I think it was either the first or second night of the 7 day cruise - there is a "grownup" (adult - sort of sounds wrong :rotfl2:) scavenger hunt in the nightclub. We formed teams and collected points by bringing items up to the MC. Some of the items could be found in purses or pockets other things were a little more risque. Things like a woman wearing a man's shirt, two men holding hands wearing high heels, and a man wearing a bra!! (I've got some great pictures from that night!!):rotfl: It really didn't matter who came up with the most points we were roaring with laughter!

That sounds soo FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terri - Your new toys look great! I bet you guys will have so much fun using them!

The comment about the "scavenger hunt" is correct though I forget the name of the game...it is usually the 2nd night I think as Match Your Mate is always the first night.

Well we are back from the Wonder and BLT at WDW...

We lucked out at the port and took an upgrade to cabin 8600, which is a handicapped (ie, even more space) cat 3....going to be very hard to go back to a regular sized cabin...2 full baths plus a walk-in closet in the master...I walked it off and my rough estimate was about 730 sq ft plus the veranda....and then there was the concierge service...but due to Florida resident rates, we actually paid less for the Cat 3 then our original secret porthole cat 10 booking...

As to BLT however, we were somewhat disappointed by the room size and organization...we had a studio...while the split bathroom works great on a cruise ship, it works not so well in a hotel room...the sink/mirror were in the galley mini-kitchen...also the room we had a couple months ago at DVC at AKL seemed to be significantly larger...

However, there is something to be said for the top floor viewing deck to watch the fireworks, and the overall grounds and views in general, not to mention monorail access...though I note the 5th floor bridge to the Contemporary was indefinitely closed for repairs, which seemed odd since the building is new...

But, all in all, we are more likely to stay at AKL in the future...(though it likely helps a bit that we have a car when at WDW)...

I have to agree with you, I did not like the fact that besides the MK view I also had the parking lot view, BLT is our home resort and well the lounge is out of this world.. but if you ask me AKL is the bomb! the last time my drunk friend was asking me: is that a zebra or a giraffe? well if it has horns it was neither, lol See u soon.

This is so cool, from the DC meets in the past it was very hard to put together a running group....I see it wont be hard this time< DH is very exited too!!! We did te 5K at Castaway Cay in November and it was great! I have to update my signature I m missing The Disney Marathon 2010, Blessings to all

Nope - lots of runners here :) Welcome!!!

Is that in Annapolis? We are in Northern VA and we have friends who have a boat and live in Annapolis. We've been up there a few times to go out on the boat and tube and just cruise around. The Severn River, I believe? I know it is down by Pat Sajack's massive house. We've also been around the Academy and Annapolis proper.

My husband and kids love to swim in the river, but all I can think if is that these are the kind of places that bull sharks like to hang out. I watch WAAAAAY too much Shark Week. :)

The room you had our friends got a cat. 3 upgrade on our last cruise and it was also a handicapped room. Those rooms are WONDERFUL!! We had a regular Cat. 3 and theirs was HUGE compared to ours.......CONGRATS, on the upgrade!!

How was the rest of your cruise.........!!!!!!!!!

We had considered trying to stay at BLT when we go next August but I have heard so many "disappointed" posts that we won't be trying it out. We loved the look of the place when we took the DVC tour but after seeing photos of all the parking lot views I do not think it would be something we want.

We will be trying to get a room at the Poly with the free dining but we will have to see what our budget will be able to handle. :goodvibes

If you have not done the BLT you most definetily should! at least once, because of the lounge, we took sandwiches from the Contemporary quick service and we order some beer and wine, let me tell you we really enjoyed the view of the fireworks, is very uncrowded because only gests at the BLT are allow there, so go for it, the Poly is beautiful, but for the price WOW!!! had you eaten at the California Grill? you want to try that one too!!!

Nope - lots of runners here :) Welcome!!!

And I see some soccer lovers too! my DH has been playong soccer now for 2 years....she just turn 6! the other 6 years old going with the family that are our friends, he is a soccer player too, he is 6,.....by the way where are they, shes supposed to sign in today. blessings

We have seriously considered it but the whole family has voted BLT down. The part that is really hard to give up is that we have been doing the Poly club level. Basically we do the same thing....grab snacks and drinks from the lounge but then we go to the beach and watch the fireworks. It is heavenly! :cloud9:

[How do I uplode the family pics and info in the web site?

You cannot upload the items directly to the website. If you send me an e-mail with the information and the photos attached, I can quickly create a page for your family. You will find the link with my e-mail address all over on the website. :thumbsup2

Congrats on the upgrade, I'm hopeing to upgrade for our Dec. cruise.

No, it was in southern MD on the Patuxent river. I hope there aren't sharks where we go, I wonder if there's a website where I can figure out what does live in there. I have family in Annapolis so I'll keep that in mind if we ever decide to go on the Severn.
had you eaten at the California Grill? you want to try that one too!!!
Love the Cali Grill, I think that might be my favorite place to eat on property, wish it wasn't so expensive. Did you know that even if you eat there earlier in the evening you can still come back to view the fireworks that night, just bring your reciept. Also you can just do the bar there to see the fireworks too.

Ohhh! I didn't mean to freak you out. I have searched the internet extensively and NEVER found anything about sharks in MD rivers. I am just way more paranoid than I should be. I love Shark Week and it just makes me freak out over things that aren't an issue. :) The worst things that I've ever seen in that water are jellyfish!

That's ok, while I was looking for sharks I found out that there is a bacteria in the water that is causing skin infections. Glad I had the kids shower right when we got home!

Very nice! Our daughter is 6 and this will be her 3rd year... middle son has been playing for 8 years, and our older son played for 10 years before settling in on swimming. I have also played for 20+ years and this is my 11th year coaching soccer as well....
