Just a few videos from the swim champs this past weekend... Tim won the back and finished 3rd in the fly. He wasn't expected to do as well in the backstroke, but edged out a win from all the way out in lane 1!

Totally unrelated to the cruise; however, he will save your butt if you happen to be drowning at CC or something!! :rotfl2:

WOW! That is really great...I will feel so much safer at CC! :goodvibes

Seriously, thank you for sharing with us! It is always so much fun to learn more about everyone we will be sailing with.

Tell Tim congratulations!

Hey Jude,

Sounds, like the kids are going to have blast at camp......

I need to sit down and try to think of some party ideas for the 16th!! I'll let ya know what I come up with.........

I'll be partying it up on the 14th, 15th, and 16th! I guess it's going to be a long weekend!!!! :thumbsup2

We are going to end up celebrating on the 15th. The kids have dance on Monday night that they can't miss and there is a parent's meeting that we have to go to as well. I am bummed that we have to do it a day early but I plan on making it a GET READY TO COUNT IT DOWN party!

I have tons of great ideas for our party and can't wait to get rolling with it all! I am thinking of making port holes and putting images in them like we will have with our virtual port hole in our room - I thought I would put them up around the main room we will have our party in!

I will post more ideas for the cruise party as I come up with them! :thumbsup2

I wondered why this thread hasn't popped up under my USER CP in a while....we got a whole new thread going!!!

A lot has changed for us with regards to this cruise! Our friends have decided not to cruise with us and after having that conversation, DH & I decided to move up our sailing and do a back to back in May instead.

So, alas, we will not meet you all in August 2011, but with a little pixie dust and Mickey magic, we will meet someday!!

I hope you have a fabulous cruise and lots of great memories!!!

Sorry you won't be with us Karen! I hope that you and your DH have tons of fun on your back to back in May...be sure to come back here and tell us all about it!

Almost to the 1 year mark! Just under 2 weeks to go!

I haven't been posting here much because it's such a challenge to keep up with the thread for the WBTA cruise we're doing in September. We just got our room assignments for that cruise and were excited to get an upgrade from Cat 6 GTY to a Cat 4. The upgrade was made even better because we'd originally booked Cat 8 GTY, then downgraded to Cat 10GTY to save $1000, then switched to the Military rates when they came out, moved up to Cat 6 GTY, and saved another $900!! So we're almost $2000 below what we originally booked, and are all the way up on Deck 8 (which is where we sailed on 3 of our 4 prior cruises.) 8 must be our favorite deck, because we've booked 8006 for this cruise too!!

Still checking regularly to see if any Cat 9A rooms come available. We have not been able to rebook our reservation to get the OBC since early December, though I've been holding a dummy reservation just for that purpose!

Hi all,

Hello from across the pond. It has been months since I've posted (sorry) and then I didn't realise you had a new thread going;). Its been great this morning trying to read through it all. Though I must confess I can't remember much.

I've finally broken up for the summer -Yeah !! and have no school until Sept 6th:banana:

I promise I will now keep on track with this thread!

Dave and I are having serious Disney withdrawl symptons - We really cant wait for next year. We have been planning our dates and looking through old photos. In September we'll be able to book our DVC resorts and flights.

Any one else seem to be wishing the days away?
We are going away next week and spending just over 2 weeks in our caravan - please keep your fingers crossed that we will have some dry nice weather in England (for once). Lately its lucky if we get into the 70s. HOw I miss the Florida heat.

We will have a toast on the 16th (cant think why:rolleyes1)

So can you help me catch up - any important news Ive missed? Is there any new pictures / info on the Dream? Im off to read Jen's Website and imerse myself today in all things Disney LOL !

Take care
:yay: IM soo excited

Hi Helen,

Glad to hear that school is over for you!!

You just reminded me that I will need to be ready to book my DVC reservations for our post-cruise stay. Which resort will you be staying at??

We own at BWV and SSR. So we'll book those and we were considering swapping BWV for possibly AKL at the 7month window if there was any available.

How about you?

I think we will do SSR after the cruise and the night before the cruise we wll stay at the Port. But now my daughters told us that the "BEST" Vacation would be to go to VB for a few days then to go to the Port and then the cruise and then WDW after the cruise so we may try to do VB for four nights before the cruise if we can get the ressie at the seven month mark.....

We've often thought about Vero Beach and would love to do it. However the thing that stops us is we are nervous about driving abroad. There are just too many differences for us. Now if Disney had a shuttle or somthing we'd be there in a shot.

We make use of town cars, public buses and taxi's. The magical express was great for us.

We tend to come over for around 16 days - it takes us 2 days to get over the jet lag. We can be seen wandering round SSR or the lake at Boardwalk at 4.30 am lol

You would love VB soo relaxing......This last time we found it much cheaper to have a driver take us to VB rather than us renting a car and driving their ourselves. It was nice not to have to worry about getting the car-rental, etc.........So that could always be an option for you too!!

I do love SSR especially the Spa - its sooo relaxing :thumbsup2

Me too. I love it there....So relaxing.....Last time, I was there they had coupons for $15.00 off your treatment plus, we were allowed to use the DVC discount too!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That sounds great:goodvibes.

What exactly do you mean when you said you had a driver take you - is that like a town car?

Am I right in thinking its about a 2hour drive?

Hmmm you've got me thinking about 2012 ;):rolleyes1

(sorry for all the questions):flower3:
