Relaxing & Playing with DS on Castaway Cay & brunch at Palo with DH.

LOVED the picture and the countdown update!

I can't wait to get back to Castaway Cay and float the days away again. You will find me on a mat hanging out in the water all day!

My Palo brunch with DH was one of the highlights of the last cruise. We also asked DSIL (Beth - my DH's twin sister) to join us and it was a great afternoon together. I am so hoping that we will get to do a Palo brunch on this cruise.

Im lying on the beach at serenity bay , water lapping round my feet, reading a good book

Last time we were at Serenity Bay, DH and I took a walk out into the water about up to our knees. We then saw a shadow of a BIG fish that was swimming towards us...it was a BIG BARRACUDA! The fish then decided to follow us. It totally freaked me out because I am not a fan of big fish from the ocean!

I think I could love laying on the beach at Serenity Bay but I am not sure I will be wading in the waters there again.

Jen, I don't want to disturb you but you should see the pictures on here of sharks that were spotted at Serenity bay and at the family beach!
Makes me not want to go in either!

On our first trip we saw these whilst paddling at SB

Then Dave was snorkling further out and I saw him turn rapidly and head back to shore the fastest I'd ever seen him swim

This was what he saw

you can just make out a nurse shark

Seemly SB does not have shark nets like they do at the family beach

Its still my fave place on earth

Again... I do LOVE the waves of SB and it is so peaceful but I am fine with short visits there and floating my days away in the netted areas!

Plans for our party are coming along! Today we went to the dollar store and found all kinds of fun tiki decorations. We will be decorating to go along with our WDW stay at the Polynesian (yep, we have decided to stay there again) and the tropical feel of the cruise.

Our food is going to be a grilled chicken - so I might try a pirate night sort of feel to the food to go along with our tropical theme. Maybe some grilled fruit and a nice sauce for the chicken. Dessert is totally going to be my chocolate lava cake! If there is anyone out there who needs the recipe for an INCREDIBLE dessert...just let me know!

I still have some other thoughts but will have to work out the details!

Since we are thinking Disney and our cruise...we are also trying to figure out our plans for the whole trip. As you have read, we have decided on the Polynesian again. I just got a REALLY good tutoring job for next year and that will help with the bill. We are debating a couple of days at Vero Beach and then know our night before the cruise will be at a hotel near port.

Can't wait to hear about other people's plans for their trip or for the countdown party!

I want a delicious & INCREDIBLE dessert recipe.

I think we will be staying at AKV for a few nights before the cruise. I have to call member services to make reservations the day I board the Wonder for our member cruise.

My vote is for VB!!

I think I will be making the chocolate lava cake too and I also found really cute Mickey Mouse Cupcakes that I am going to amke too. I also think that I will make some frozen drinks and put them in our DCL cups too. I have a Bon Voyage sign and magnet that we are going to hang up too. I think that we will cook something out and eat out by the pool together with our DCL music in the back ground!!

We're most likely staying at Vero Beach before our cruise too.....we should have a mini meet prior boarding the Dream!
