Have FUN at the recitals....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is kind of a bittersweet feeling about the school year. I am not looking back though...just forward. I need to get going on a few applications today as well so that there might be something to look forward to - otherwise I could be working at McDonald's!

Thanks! I love dance recitals. The kids dance in competitions but those are so serious. The dance recital is where they really dance just for fun and the love of dance since there are no judges sitting in the front row.

I have to go buy flowers this morning because Ben makes mini bouquets for all the girls in his dance group each year.

Thank you, things only got worse on Friday. Which, in turn did not make our anniversary the best... But Bruce did send me roses at school to make it better. I will be happy when it is over that is for sure. I have lost a lot of respect for some people through all of this.

We ended up going out to dinner just the two of us and did some errands. Then I went shopping at Ann Taylor so that made up for the events that took place earlier in the day.

How many days until Disney and Vero Beach?

I want to learn more about Vero Beach - where would you recommend I look for photos, actual daily plans, etc?

We were thinking of possibly looking at it for next summer. We were thinking 4 days at WDW (maybe 5), 4 days at a beach (maybe Vero Beach) and then the cruise.

Last time we cruised, I made ones similar to those (names on them and they said...YOU CAN DO IT) and put them on the doors of everyone who said they were going to run the 5K.

I still want to make our group something for running - I will probably figure out something with our cruise name and graphic.

I hope that we get a good group for running.

I've been pretty quiet lately. Things at work have been crazy - in fact, my part time job has imploded and I've been pretty much working two full time jobs the past few weeks. Both have been a "little" stressful so I am taking the entire weekend off for family!! DD and I went shopping and played any board games she wanted yesterday (rainy day here) and today is a "hang out" day with the family. I think I really need this!!

I am so glad that you have your 5K sign out still! Mine is on my garage door and I see it each time I come in the house!!!

Hello Everyone!

Well, the school year is over and my classroom is all packed and in my basement again. I am officially unemployed again this summer and hope that I can find some sort of job before the start of the school year. Teaching jobs in Minnesota are not so easy to find and this just might be the final push DH and I need to make the big move to FL!

My "unemployment" doesn't start till next Thursday or sooner if they don't need me. I wish I could find a full time para position but those are far and few between. Plus I wouldn't be able to keep on cruising throughout the year if I was full time so I guess I'll just look at it as a gift that I can't seem to get one of those positions. Still the money over the summer would be nice.

I did not know if there was any discussion on T-shirts for the Disbord Group? We have done that on our last several cruises and it worked out GREAT... We have done Lime Green and last time blue... It was great way to see all of our Disboard Friends..

Glad you like the web site Wendy...I really enjoy doing it and am happy that I will have some time to dedicate to really making it grow this summer.

On our last cruise, we did lanyards that were imprinted with our cruise name and those were really great because people wore them all the time. I am open to other ideas as well and will put a page on the website to see what people are interested in.

Hey all you Tortola Treasure Seekers....anyone remember what the final cost of the lanyards were? I thought the price was really reasonable. I also can't remember when we had to order them by but I know we had plenty of time.

Today was my first day of summer break and it seems like I really did not get a lot done. I actually laid in bed for a bit this morning and tomorrow I am going to have to get up and get going so that I can be a bit more productive.

It was a private school that paid so poorly that I could actually make more money being a substitute teacher. I will be hunting for a job all summer.

Jen, I'm sorry to hear that you are now unemployed! I can't believe that you would make more money subbing then you did at your school! I always thought pivate schools paid good! Good luck in your search.

I think that our lanyards were $2-$3, they were pretty cheap. That was a good idea. T-shirts are a good idea too, of course I don't know if my guys would be too excited about t-shirts....they did wear my tie dyes for embarkation though!
It is HOT here today...92 with a heat index of 105!!!!!! Ugh! and it's not even officially summer yet!
