I want a delicious & INCREDIBLE dessert recipe.

I think we will be staying at AKV for a few nights before the cruise. I have to call member services to make reservations the day I board the Wonder for our member cruise. :cool1:

We will also be staying at AKV precruise! :goodvibes That is our home resort and we love it! We love the Kidani pool but prefer Jambo because of the Mara with the kids. I think that we are going to do a 2 night Cocoa Beach stay after the cruise to just relax and chill as I will start school on the 24 (will be coming home the 23... now that is cutting it close!). Can anyone recommend a good hotel preferably on the beach?

I will look up the recipe and post it tomorrow! If you like chocolate cake...you will LOVE this!

Are you getting excited for your Wonder cruise? It is coming up quick! You will have to let us know if you learn anything new about the Dream while you are on that cruise!

My vote is for VB!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Votes for VB here, too!! :) We should have it all sorted out here before the DVC 11 month window hits next month!!?? At least I hope so!

We're most likely staying at Vero Beach before our cruise too.....we should have a mini meet prior boarding the Dream!
Laurie :)

YEAH, mini-Dis meet is in order for sure!!

Looks like a few of you will be hanging out at Vero before the cruise! We are still unsure about the plans but will see. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great plan to do WDW, the cruise and then hang out at the beach! :thumbsup2

It is always so hard to come home after the cruise but that's always the way it works out for us because of school.

I can't believe we are getting to the one year countdown!!!
We will be at Downtown Disney for the one year anniversary, so it will be really exciting to celebrate. Leaving tomorrow for Universal (sorry, Disney) to check out Harry Potter.

Looking forward to seeing the disney fireworks on the 16th.

Enjoy your celebrations!

LOVED the picture and the countdown update!

I can't wait to get back to Castaway Cay and float the days away again. You will find me on a mat hanging out in the water all day!

My Palo brunch with DH was one of the highlights of the last cruise. We also asked DSIL (Beth - my DH's twin sister) to join us and it was a great afternoon together. I am so hoping that we will get to do a Palo brunch on this cruise.

Glad you liked the countdown.

I was hoping for Palo brunch this year but by the time I was able to book the reservations online there were none. I am still hoping I will be able to book once I get onboard. I really wanted my parents to experience it.

AKV is our home resort too. We love Kidani and its pool. We will be staying there for a few days this September. I cannot wait. :yay:

Thank you in advance for the recipe.

I am getting excited about the upcoming cruise. I NEED a vacation. I will definitely report back if I learn anything about the Dream. I am hoping that DCL or DVC will share some tidbits about it especially since next year's member cruise will be on the Dream.

Chocolate Lava Cake (DH and I think this is better then the Palo dessert)

4 squares of baker's chocolate , 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. powder sugar, 2 eggs, 2 egg yolks, 6 tbsp flour

Melt the 4 squares of baker's chocolate (we use Baker's Secret) and the 1/2 c butter. I usually do this in the microwave.

Stir in the 1 c. powder sugar.

Whisk together 2 eggs and the 2 egg yolks and then add that to the batter.

Stir in 6 tbsp of flour.

Spray 4 tart cups with spray butter. Add batter (spread evenly among the 4 tart cups).

Bake at 425° for 13-14 minutes.

The outer part will feel like a "cake" and the inner part will be molten chocolate.

I usually take and place a bowl over the tart cup and then flip it to get the cake out. We also then serve it with real vanilla ice cream for an incredible treat.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions. I know that Jude and Kristin have also made this recipe and like this dessert as well. It is always what I make when I want to make an "impressive" dessert. They are super easy and oh so good!

Big decisions being made in our house! Looks like Vero Beach will be on the agenda. We think it would be INCREDIBLE and SO FUN to be hanging out on the beach all day! :goodvibes Hopefully Kristin and her family will not get too sick of us! :rotfl:

We are really excited too! After looking at the photos, we think it looks perfect! :thumbsup2

Me too....!! I think if there are a few of us at VB ahead of time then we should plan a little DIS mini-meet!!

Hi all!

After much discussion and date changing, we (me, dh, dd-9, ds-4) are in the midst of booking this cruise.

We are WDW veterans as well as a few cruises including Celebrity (dh and I were married while on the Century back in 2000) and Carnival (my sis was an IT officer for five years and we were lucky enough to cruise 3x w/ her).

This will be our first cruise on DCL and after the sticker shock wore off, we've been super excited about it... well maybe dd and I are more excited than the boys are, but they will be! :upsidedow

I've already pm'd Jen and am looking forward to "meeting" you all over the next year before we actually can meet on board! :yay:

WELCOME ABOARD CHRISTINE!!

I know the sticker shock of DCL is one that takes some getting used too. I know many of us try to find a good Travel Agent to transfer our reservations to so you can get a high onboard credit to spend while on board. That at least helps with some of the charges while onboard...

My twin daughters will be nine when we cruise too!!:thumbsup2:goodvibes
