Just sitting here wondering what I'll be doing a year from today
with only one day left until we board the Dream

Hopefully it will be in WDW somewhere not sitting on a plane

Hi all!

After much discussion and date changing, we (me, dh, dd-9, ds-4) are in the midst of booking this cruise.

We are WDW veterans as well as a few cruises including Celebrity (dh and I were married while on the Century back in 2000) and Carnival (my sis was an IT officer for five years and we were lucky enough to cruise 3x w/ her).

This will be our first cruise on DCL and after the sticker shock wore off, we've been super excited about it... well maybe dd and I are more excited than the boys are, but they will be!

I've already pm'd Jen and am looking forward to "meeting" you all over the next year before we actually can meet on board!

Well this morning we started our DCL countdown party!! We figured since Bruce has to work tomorrow, we would start it today..One year ago today we were on the Magic.........I had the house decorated and little cruise gifts out for the family this morning..DCL, music is already playing!!

I thought it would be fun to do a "Question of the Week" to help us pass the time until our cruise. I will post the questions and compile all the answers on our web site - I have already posted our first question and my answer there! So, here is our first one...

Since we are ONE YEAR from our cruise date...are you doing anything to celebrate?

Time to answer my own question!
On Sunday, we are having a DISNEY DAY! We have decorated the house in a tiki / island theme with loads of decorations. The party will begin at 5:00 with Disney music, a grilled chicken meal, chocolate lava cake and a Disney movie on the big screen (complete with popcorn in a souvenir bucket). I will post more details as the week goes on!

Today, has been Disney day in our house too..One year ago today many of us were aboard the Magic enjoying a WONDERFUL CRUISE TOGETHER!!!

We had a Mickey Themed breakfast, on our DCL placemats, and then we played Disney Monolopy. This afternoon we have watched home movies of the girls first trip to Disney and tonight will be our cruise videos........Such fun. We are making Mickey shaped homemade pizzas for dinner too. And we are having a special surprise for desert too. TOmorrow, we are going to continue our celebration as well. OUr house is decorated in DCL stuff too. All of our magnets our out on display as well!!

Making chocolate lava cakes, opening DCL gift bags, listening to castaway cay music, and having a DRINK OF THE DAY!

The menu is listing a wonderful island chicken with rice and fresh bread for dinner!

I love the shirt too! I got it in the mail from this great family who loves Disney as much as me!

Seriously...I love to wear the shirt and think of you guys every time I put it on! THANK YOU! It was perfect for today because we all agreed we had to wear Disney clothing.

Disney party is beginning to wind down. We just watched Wishes on YouTube and are now getting ready to watch a movie on our big screen. Time to lay back and relax!

Sadly nothing. My daughter doesn't know that we are going on the cruise, so we just celebrated with each other after she went to bed tonight.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK #1

Since we are ONE YEAR from our cruise date...are you doing anything to celebrate?

I packed and waved off my hubby and son to Boy Scout camp for a week But I can't feel too bad, we just returned from a week in "The World" where we had a great time. Tried Indoor skydiving which is a blast. Also tested these devices for Disney in Epcot similar to an ITouch with interactive maps with wait times and fastpasses, along with extra bonuses like name your own price for ice cream (we paid $.01) .

So, 365 days and counting down

Cool, it should be FUN..What day are you guys thinking about heading down to VB??

Not decided yet, but will probably spend a few days in VB pre-cruise and then SSR (that may change at 7 months) post-cruise.

We will be in Vero... probably not being able to sleep because of all the excitement!!
